Just disconnect from the internet, launch the game whilst offline, and go to your campaign. Check the menu to find the challenge gone, then exit the game a reconnect. When you load your game it should notify you of the community challenge.

Edit Edit in addition to all previous Edits: Read the whole thread for the third time, and just now realized the essential statement that was made on ~page 6. I'm not supposed to get anything until it is over. >.<

Hi if you get 2500 R then it means you already have done the event before and already have the pistols. For the second time you do this you will get 2500 R and 100 units of each material as a reward.

    Sorry for the bad english:
I had to sink a battleship/warship (I don't know which word is used).
I don't know if I allready had done this event. All I know is I don't have the Pistols in my collection.

Right now, i have everything unlocked, the last thing i unlocked was the figurehead on monday. Every reward unlocked the moment i completed the necessary challenge, and in some cases, just to make sure, i did it more than the required time (like kill enemies with a gun, i think my current count is at 38/1)

Though according to the thread, the rewards weren't supposed to unlock right away, mine did. All i have to do now is backup my save file.

As I posted a few pages back, you get the reward right away in this final set of events. If you are using the other 2 save files as well, they get the reward after the corresponding event expires, and only if you launch the game (from scratch) directly into each of those saves. It seems Uplay has to be logging you on to update these things for you.

I'm having an issue with this. I unlocked the "Explorer's outfit" on 8/9 and "El Impoluto figurehead" on 8/12 after only doing the objectives once and both popped up right away. The current objective is to plunder a warehouse in order to unlock the "Captain's Wheellock Pistols" however, my current progress on this event is 3/1 and it still hasn't unlocked. Is anyone experiencing anything similar?

If this happens (task completed more times than the 1 required, no reward), it means that somehow Ubi thinks you already completed the challenge on another save file. In this case, you need to wait until the challenge expires, then launch the game from scratch directly into the save file where you want the reward. This should do the trick. It worked for me 6 times in a row. I use all 3 save slots. I got the reward each time right away on one save, then I propagated it to the other 2 saves using the described method.

When you say "from scratch", do you mean I need to start a new game? Or do I just load the current save file where I completed the objective? BTW, I'm only playing on one and I don't plan on creating other save files.
