    Noob builds:Ask and learn

    TRIGGERS:
On the last track I built I had custom cameras for little cut scenes. For instance fall into a hole, then have a cutscene over look an area of the map and have certain effects follow like birds flying, rolling mist etc. as you can see there gets to be a lot of triggers in one spot. This leads to a jumble mess when you need to make changes .

Instead of layering triggers of different shapes and sizes, has anyone figured out a way too have one trigger for multiple effects or is layering the only option? I tried messing with filters but no luck.

in your events you have a "select event/filter" option click it and than click the event you also want to have triggered simmultaniously
you can connect up to 1000's of events this way(i never found a limit anyway and never heard about a limit except the console might melt)

    Thanks

However I think the problem was connecting different impulse delays (chain reaction) to one trigger.

    Thanks again DAN87

I think what you need to use is an impulse splitter. they can take one impulse in and send it to up to 8 different places at once. you can also chain them if you need more than 8 things triggered from one impulse

The splitter makes complete sense thanks. So if I need multiple efects to activate at different times the schematic would be as follows: trigger to splitter, splitter to x number of impulse delays, Nth impulse delay to Nth effect event, Nth effect event to Nth effect.

Thanks for all the help peeps,

i almost never use the splitter and although i never had issues when used alot it can give issues

i would make a trigger-> events(you can link as many events together here if you need in this step)->delay->events ->delay->events->delay chain
