I assume a fair few of you have been playing the new 'fan' trick race things, where you're now made to do the tricks and beat Leroy (I'd assume you have to beat Cassidy at some point too but haven't got there yet).
Anyway, to add to my already long list of issues with the games - the opponents that I'm having to beat aren't doing the same tricks that I'm doing.
I'm currently stuck on beating Leroy on the Trebuchet. I have to do 3 frontflips, and 3 'inverted airtime' (which I've already expressed my hatred for), and there's no way whatsoever that Leroy is completing the inverted airtime thing, whereas I obviously have to in order to win.
I'm assuming these are just leading me into having to spend 30 gems in order to skip it or get the banana or whatever that does.
Can you please just let us play and enjoy the game, rather than making us pay to skip half the races that are impossible to complete anyway?
I was only able to rip through it because I have a fully upgraded Tango and a 9/9/10/10 Mantis. But a couple of them took me a couple tries.
The banana thing is yet ANOTHER trap to get you to spend money. The banana is placed so that you can hit it by accident. It's garbage.
Just wait until you get Cassidy and 6 secs inverted airtime... And she clearly isn't doing it herself. That's the one challenge they gave that truly irritated me.....took a while.

That is the one that stumped me. I'm stuck there and my Tango is 8/9/8/9!
Edit:
Did The Watchers 3 backflips and figured I'd give The Lift another go. 10 minutes later and I had it done.
It wouldn't have been so difficult if frontflip inversion registered properly.
I think it's fair enough that some people are able to complete it. However, I'd imagine the members on these forums are generally a subset of the 'better than average' category of gamers overall.
I always thought of myself as reasonably good at games like this, however, I do refuse to spend any money on this game whereas I imagine a lot of you with near maxed out bikes have spent quite a lot(?)
For the average user, or even below average user that doesn't really want to spend £5 a week in order to actually play the game and compete with others I can imagine, the experience being a whole lot worse.
^^Haven't spent a single penny.
Massive amounts of grinding, a lot of free time and a strict adherence to the times of slot machine and fuel counter refills.
Plus I exploited ANBA to the tune of about 5 million coins and a few hundred gems since completing the "story".
Were there really 19 missions? That is what was claimed in the update thread.
Do you think they counted the missions where you had to do two courses as two missions?
There certainly weren't 19 payouts.
I have level 10 on Riptide and level 10 on Phantom to upgrade, and I will be fully upgraded on all 6 bikes.Originally Posted by billyriley94 Go to original post
Have not spent a dime, and if you do please check that you are getting your moneys worth. Any casual inspection of the bike costs show that what you would get for you money is truly miniscule.
Best way is to grind. . . and sadly, RL keeps putting blockages in the way of effective grinding in order to get you to pay (90 minute slot machine is their latest attempt). Ironically, if I was starting with the way the game is NOW... I doubt I would have played for long. The only reason I am where I am now is because I started at Beta, when they were a lot more free with their slot rewards and had not tightened down their F2P aspects so thoroughly.
I feel your pain, and believe that you are correct. Thats why 1.4 million IOS players are on the global leaderboards (ie started the game), but only 2-4K have played Quagmire, or the latest track updates. RL designed this game to squeeze your money out and leave you by the side of the road. For the average user, or even below average user that doesn't really want to spend £5 a week in order to actually play the game and compete with others I can imagine, the experience being a whole lot worse.
If by fan races you are talking about the missions the little boy gives you then Leroy isn't supposed to also be doing back flips or hang time. The little kid is your "manager" and wants you to beat Leroy while doing tricks. Leroy doesn't have to do the tricks he just has to beat you. While some of the levels are hard to beat while having to do tricks as well I think that's part of the fun of the game. Having to figure out how to get through the level fast enough while doing tricks in places that won't slow you down.
Also you never "have" to skip a mission. You just "have" to get better at the game and/or play a few days and upgrade your bike. I've been stuck on a ANBA mission for about a week but refuse to skip it as I know one of these days I'll get good/lucky enough to beat it.
Maybe, but I actually want to try and enjoy the game.Originally Posted by JonnieMazda Go to original post
I shouldn't have to spend a week grinding in order to get past each mission as the game just simply isn't at all fun if you do that.
I've completed the game, and ANBA is pretty much all I have left to do, and it just isn't fun to play things like that.
And my point is Leroy or whoever it is SHOULD be doing the tricks too. I shouldn't have to race against someone when I have certain conditions and they don't as it just isn't fun!
