Oh no, I was intentionally not going fast on the "ANBA", looks like I need to be careful everywhere now
Anyway, on the topic of ANBA, simple question - does it go on forever? Or can you finish it? (I have completed the "shut down" mission, which was on The Quagmire)
The second ANBA challenge for me yesterday was Parched Cliff. I've done maybe 15 challenges total since the update and it has me back on Parched Cliff again already!
Luckily I muffed the end up so know I can make up at least 0.4 on it.
There are 90 odd tracks and I still haven't played ANBA on anything less than a platinum medalled course.
Well I only have 5 platinums (I sometimes get them accidentally and have to retry the course, because I don't want ANBA to get too hard) and since the update it has visited them a few times, which is statistically a little suspicious. But I am nowhere near my limit on those courses and often need to retry so that I don't beat ANBA by any more than 2/10th'sOriginally Posted by Mandrake2007 Go to original post
I don't know if I get this wrong...Originally Posted by Mandrake2007 Go to original post
I think you can only get 2 gems in a ANBA round (6 players), so you can beat 60 players a day before?! If so that's awesome!!
BTW, can you share the technique to get gems?
Before update I work hard to collect 96 gems, trying to get 100 gems to buy the Magneto helmet costume, but 6 new tracks cost me 95 of them.![]()
Yes, I was beating about 60 ANBA opponents a day but the way I had it they were easy to beat and 11 out of 12 of the courses were on 5 gas tracks to maximise fuel use. This last update threw my scheme into chaos. I'm over it now!Originally Posted by luffy1st Go to original post
My technique is not an exact science but I got about 35 gems from it yesterday from 300 odd fuel so it works for me. It will only work if you have the consistency of technique to spin the wheel in a near identical fashion each time. When the wheel comes up just tap one of the segments to expand it and spin the wheel in your usual way from its default position (the clacker on the gems), I did this for a couple of days to get an average finish position of the gems. Once you feel you have a good idea of where the gems end up adjust the wheel before you spin so that the gems are where they need to be in order to have them near the clacker when the wheel comes to rest. You'll find your hit rate improves dramatically.
As I said, not an exact science but there is method in the madness.
I used to be annoyed when I would hit the wrong part. Now I don't care what part I get, I play the wheel for gems.
Now I've said that I expect gems will be removed from the wheel with the next update!
I do a similar thing, you can get the wheel to consistently stop near your target (gems or parts I'm grinding for).... the only thing is, I find I need to "recalibrate" every now and then, either I am changing my technique subconsciously or the sensitivity has changed. I know on one occasion the sensitivity DEFINITELY changed, just a small movement of my finger would send the wheel flying. Not sure if it's something in the game, or my phone.Originally Posted by Mandrake2007 Go to original post
Also, this may be paranoid, but we KNOW that they have an algorithm to rig the loot wheel. If you play the game as a beginner again, you can see you will always get the candy or other items initially. So I don't know if they use that later in the game, sometimes it sure feels like it!
Yeah it's so good now that I get put against the first place which happens to be a hacker. Great going to the devs!
So the point is to control the wheel spin for 1 or 2 or more whole round to stop at the gems.Originally Posted by Mandrake2007 Go to original post
I try just now, but feel the wheel sometimes spin more quickly then normal time.
I just cannot feel the wheel.
I can confirm with 100% certainty that the loot wheel will not land you in the same spot every time if the following are true:
- You start in the same place
- You spin with the exact same force
My device allows me to record a swipe gesture, so that's what I use to spin the wheel. I have started recording the results of the wheel using this method with the above two conditions, as well as the following:
- which track I played
- which item I expanded
- medal/finish time
I don't have enough data yet, as it will take hundreds and hundreds of spins to come up with anything useful.
I am currently making between 20 - 30 gems a day on approximately 40 spins a day.
