In another thread I posted an idea about Redlynx creating DLC that contained ONLY custom builds by the community, as it would be a good way to keep DLC flowing for well over the next year. I know that it's still early in this game's life but I thought we should have a thread containing any tracks we thought worthy of being made official in game courses. Double votes on a course are okay, and videos are also welcome
I guess I'll start. I have a couple courses that I enjoyed a lot and would be happy to see in game
Out of the Pit 2.0 - IZEZ PRiNCESS
The Last Rider - kronenb
Out of the Pit does justice for the original and then some. Well themed with an as perfect as could be DL replica
The Last Rider is a RL pick. It is very well themed with a unique line that has some difficult time savers
why would anyone buy that?
you only need you search for it on tc and you can get it for free(and the most good ones will become crossplatform anyway)
the only thing i would like is maybe some more "semi official" competition on custom tracks, maybe rl can make a few cherry picked tracks count towards global score
or use them in tourneys(this might come already because it is being considered already by the devs)
DLC needs to contain new content (especially editor objects are important for longevity as they lead to more/varied user tracks), Track Central is already in the game for free and suddenly asking money for user tracks would be ridiculous.
Of course I assume DLC objects used in tracks still need DLC to play them (else it wouldn't be in the track info) so you partially pay for the ability to play those tracks already.
Trials HD had no track central so they put some user tracks in a DLC.
More and more tracks are becoming cross platform those days, and it's a great start. Now we all know they are working on larger track feeds so that should be solved at some point as well.
I agree some track building competitions over the next year would be nice as well, with varied goals (one is going on right now for a hoodie is a great start!).
Rewards don't have to be massive every time if it's a fairly short competition.
Agreed, seperate from TC is the only way it can workOriginally Posted by XoHAYDNoX Go to original post![]()
What Barry said. If I'm paying money then I'd like something new made by RedLynx and not something I can play on TC for free.
However, I wouldn't object to a download or disk at the end of game's life with several thousand tracks central tracks (say morrillo's database) for convenience sake. Of course, this would require local track management to be introduced for starters, but something like that would be a lovely collectable item. Would have loved it for Evo, I have several thousand tracks on multiple storage devices and yet I know there are gems that I haven't played.
I'm pretty sure back I'm the days of Trials HD redlynx let fans build courses in a comp and then put their favorites in game. I know something like that could be done again. I also know they could use our courses or ideas if they really wanted to. If something like this was done I doubt we'd have to pay for it, as it would just be to expand the amount of courses we can be competitive on the lb.
That was in simpler times, when we had no track central and the only way to play each other's tracks was to add them to your friends list.Originally Posted by Carmine9437 Go to original post
The 100 friend limitation didn't help either
Although track central was a god-send in evo, I can't help be think that having things the way they were in HD was the reason for the Trials community to be so much better than others.
I stand by what I said about customs in Fusion's DLC, in many ways it can't be done. Even picking well known builders isn't exactly fair now that I think about it.
