I hope DLC will have their own seperate World maps to choose from to fit with the themes a bit better with a few preset areas, and of course keep the main map available as well, as it's pretty hard sometimes to make detailed backgrounds with the terrain tool fading at distance (both textures and 3d hills etc start to look bad at far range) while base world is much less effected.

The base world of Trials Fusion is a futuristic city that is gleaming, polished and highly attractive. But not everything is perfect in the future. Outside the boundaries of the city are older, abandoned industrial wastelands that are called the Rustlands.
Makes it seem it's not situated in the "base world" , ofcourse we have some outside parts like the desert, but I have a feeling the Rustlands is a bit more of a wasetland then that, and I personally hope so.

Ofc this is all theorycraft and we'll know in about 2 weeks

im sure i remember hearing before fusion came out that it would have a much bigger world map then evo. so far i dont think it is i actually think its much smaller. my guess is that rustlands will be an added section of our existing map and all the other5 that are coming too, i could be wrong as i am just guessing from what was advertised a while back, tho i think we have wrongly guessed before from early advertising no multiplayr

they have always included the water in the map size, not sure you are including it
also the map has more stuff in it than the 2 dlc ones had so it might look smaller because of that?

please dont add more world maps! i remember in evo´s custom tracks all the time: loading map... loading map... loading map... fusions map is big enough and you have everything you need. desert, beach, city, snowy mountains, ocean etc. and you can build EVERYTHING you want with terrain tools (i know its hard for new players to work with that)

Wish this was the case, but if you use terrain tool at large flat areas or at long distances, textures fade really quickly, even on PC (ultra makes no difference), also it simplifies the 3d shapes of terrain as well to show really sharp edges. Hopefully the texture issue is something that can be improved on. And I am not a new player

Mesoamerica used loads of terrain tools in the distance but in the end I had to put cliffs/objects in front of some places to hide a Base world road since terrain tool would not render over it far away.

In another case I tried to make a nice flat setup for a track with a Road and some tiles, and on true-flat areas, textures fade out really fast unless you see it from above, oddly enough, curved/diagonal/vertical terrain renders much further away.

Anyhow I agree you can still pretty much A LOT, just much harder to change entire landscapes/mountains/valleys with them without getting those texture issues. But I agree also the base world has very nice pre-set areas that are big enough on their own in most cases (desert/jungle/oasis/lake/coast/city/mountains/snow, etc.)

I am against extra load times too though.

The red texture & the road texture on the Flat area fades out until the terrain starts to go upward, the purple hill has no issues, and the red on the left is the max draw distance.

As you can see the road/red texture goes all the way when looked from above in an angle.

i know teri i also know about those problems, but a new world map wouldnt solve that or any other problem. a new world map is only usefull for unexperienced builders to have a few new pre-built backgrounds. thats what i want to say

Good points, I'd rather see any fixes to terrain if possible, and more Tree/Bushes/Rock object sets, or even simpler, more color options to some of the pieces that have none at the moment

i didnt think about the water space tbh mate but as far as land is concerned i still feel that it is far smaller then the 1st map from evo (dlc maps were much smaller than the 1st map) it just doesnt seem to take me as long to scroll across the map as evo does but i could be mistaken
