ANBA, please give us some info, this could bring back some players (fingers crossed)
Also, has anyone played T2SE Teams? How did it work?
Between April 16 and July 29 is 3 months (and almost a half), not 2 months. Origin of Pain was released on October 6, 5 months and a half after Evo's release. So the difference between the release of Evo's and Fusion's DLC is more 2 months than 4 months like you said.Originally Posted by The_Blaze_Jp Go to original post
My opinion on this DLC:
Disappointing (but not unexpected). The main reason this is just another layer of respect corroded from me, is because they let our hopes deceive us. I saw it coming, but I've seen many game developers take this nosedive, so I know what to expect in terms of shady practices. Frontier and Fusion is all you need to see the path that the Trials series is going down.
In my eyes, I'd be a fool to buy DLC for a game that isn't even finished. I still don't have what I paid $20 for, so why would I pay $5 more?
@Eno: You don't know whether the change in audience was intentional or not? The glossy shiny theme, the ATV, the FMX, and the challenges don't make it obvious? These were all additions to pull in the casuals. Where were the additions/fixes for the traditional fans? They don't exist. Fusion took no steps forward to improve the core gameplay. It actually took steps back.
You seem to be basing this on replies from a very small sample of the trials community that posts on these message boards. Which are generally filled with hardcore fans that spend most of their time on said forum complaining about stuff or asking for stuff. The amount of gamers who have played all three of the console games, never set foot here. Only my second post but I would put up my hours played of all three games against the rest of you.Originally Posted by xzamplez Go to original post
Does making things shiny appeal to the casuals? I liked the new look. The new look did not change the way the game is played? The Panda sucks but adding an ATV is not exactly a way to bring in casuals. ATV Off Road Fury was my second favorite off-road game, behind Motocross Madness 2. The FMX is the only thing that flat out looked to be a nod to casual gamers. Even then it was only a few tracks and you are not forced to play them. The core gameplay was great to begin with, how exactly would you make it better? How did it take steps back. I am not taking about game modes, actual core gameplay, you know riding the bike, jumping and such.
A company can only grow by bringing in more customers. If you leave the game alone, it will grow stale and lose existing customers. Ah but the posters here would have a terrific time, playing Trials Evolution V 3, until they find out on IGN that Ubisoft has let the Redlynx team go due to poor sales.
The forum doth protest too much, methinks!
P.S. Your signature is yet another sign of immaturity one tends to find in spades here. Grow up.
Why is some other user editing your posts? Is this like some Orphan Black based forum experience? That kinda answers a lot of questions. Which one of you is Helena? If that went over your head, watch the show, it's great.Originally Posted by kidmpc Go to original post
What are you talking about arcade games? Have no clue where you are going here. Trials is a simulation of?
