Hi everyone, xFighterK here bringing you all the information you might need for this tournament!
Whether it's morning, afternoon or night, welcome everyone to the first ever Assassin's Creed 4, Artifact Assault, PS4 Tournament hosted by the actual competitive player community. The tournament itself is planned to take place on a Saturday or Sunday on either July 19/20 or 26/27, depending on the overall preference of the community and all those attending. Overall Tournament Details:
Seeing how this is our first attempt at a huge tournament like this, we're trying to maintain as much control over how many teams enter in order to prevent chaos. Additionally, we seek to keep the number of teams to be at 8 or the maximum of 16. Therefore, teams which are representing a specific clan shall be given priority on the list to enter the tournament. In other words, if a team which represents a clan called [XYZ] where all four members are of the same clan, enter at the last minute, and there are 15 clan based teams and 1 freelance team (team made up of members from different clans) then that freelance team will be removed and the clan based team shall be placed into that final slot. For clan based teams, they will automatically be placed into a slot in order to participate. Now then, say for instance there are 14 clan based teams entering. If a situation like this does occur, and there are only 14 clan based teams, then 2 freelance teams will be placed in so to make 16 teams in total. Now comes the information regarding the actual teams.
Team Tournament Details:
> NEW RULE: After consideration, we've decided to allow clans to have a maximum of two teams entering for the tournament. However, this next part is crucial. If a single individual is found having an account on both teams which are representing the clan, then both teams for that clan will be disqualified entirely. We understand this is harsh, but we want to make sure this statement is loud and clear. Furthermore, the 2nd team for the clan shall be entered as a freelance team instead of an official clan based team. Therein, 2nd teams for clans will be on the waiting list just like all the other freelance teams and must follow the listing order. All main teams shall be guaranteed a 100% chance of being in the tournament.
> Second accounts are not allowed to be entered into the tournament. Therefore, if you have one account entering on a main team for one clan, and then another account representing a freelance team, both of your accounts shall be disqualified. Same rules apply if this is being done for an entire team.
> Clan based teams are allowed to have only 2 subs, one attack and one defense, or someone who is versatile.
> Same rules apply for freelance teams when it comes too subs.
> Now comes the rules behind freelance teams:
> Freelance teams shall be placed on a waiting list according to first come, first serve. This serves so that there are no issues when it comes to filling in the slots for the teams. Three days before the actual tournament begins, those freelance teams which were allowed in shall be notified of their entry into the tournament. In regards to clan based teams entering at last minute. If for instance 3 slots are available for freelance teams to join and they are accepted, but a clan based team decides to join at last minute, the freelance team which was further down the list shall be removed from those who were allowed to enter in the first place.
Match/Session Tournament Rules and Details:
> This is a best 2 out of 3 tournament.
> In the semi-finals, only two teams will compete for 1st and 2nd place once they've won their matches. However, the two teams which lost in the semi-finals shall compete against each other for 3rd and 4th place.
> The Grand Finals for 1st and 2nd place shall be a best 3 out of 5 instead of 2 out of 3.
> All teams which enter shall be given a specific time slot which they will have in order to compete against each other. They will have one hour to setup, get everyone in the session without any issues, and have their best 2 out of 3 matches (with the exception of the Grand Finals).
Banned Abilities/Perks:
> Sixth Sense / Copycat / Minor Hack / Animus Hack / Gun
Banned Tactics:
> Absolutely no shield/tele'ing on poles, trees branches or anything which would give similar positioning/mechanical features. Example, the thin walls outside of the base on the Palenque map on the side with the jungle.
> No minor hack, infinite shield, or any kind of glitches are permitted. If found using them, you shall be immediately disqualified without question so long as proof is provided of someone having done it in the first place.
> No badmouthing or negative comments of any kind are allowed unless the other person is breaking one of the rules.
> Matches are voided if a player is disconnected before the first two minutes.
> If someone disconnects after the first two minutes, the opposing team must give the person disconnected 1 minute in order for them to return. After that 1 minute, the match must resume regardless of whether or not the person who disconnected returns.
> In the event of more than one person going into limited mode, the match must be paused, the scores from both teams during that match will be counted up and a new match will be started with those initial scores added at the end of the new session.
Last Minute Details and Comments:
Please list below or message either one of the officials or the Main Even Host (listed above) with information regarding your team in the following format:
1) Name of Clan Being Represented. (Skip if it's a Freelance Team)
2) Name of Main Contact for team.
3) Name of Members for the team WITH their clan tags listed as well.
4) Name of Subs and their position on the team (Attack, Defense, Versatile).
5) Most Viable and Effective Time and Time Zone for your team to all be online. Please also state whether you'd prefer the weekend of July 19/20 or 26/27 for your team to attend.
Four days before the actual tournament all CLAN BASED TEAMS will be sent a message to confirm whether or not they still are attending. Three days before the determined date for the tournament, the Freelance teams will be notified if they were given a spot on the final list for those attending. One day before the actual tournament date all Main Contacts for the teams will be sent a message via PSN in order to confirm their attendance to the tournament.
*****All match results must be either posted here or sent to the officials via PSN screenshot within 15 minutes after finishing all your matches.
