^ AJ you and BigShotRob don't help by not actually going onto Evo to get the recalc. So you can't complain about how the leaderboards on Evo are messed up cause you refuse to do your part. I don't see why you won't get on the game. You said you did but you can look on the beacons if you have or not, and after you told me you went on the game, I checked and a big surprise, you weren't on there.. Also you could just start the game and go off it before you get onto the main menu when you get the recalc. As Evo is the old game I don't see why you won't just go on it to get the recalc.
This is my point of view as well.Originally Posted by iviarkD Go to original post
We all certainly appreciate the willingness of you guys to help us out. The biggest issue with community reporting is that it doesn't reduce the time it takes us to check and remove scores, but it does make the community members checking spend their time on something we would need to check anyway. 99% of the community wouldn't throw a rival under a bus for no reason, but someone out there might. So we need to make sure we put our eyes on everything that is going to get removed and we can't just take someone's word for it.Originally Posted by iviarkD Go to original post
It doesn't really help to remove scores from events if the boards aren't recalculated.Originally Posted by Chicago__AJ Go to original post
We aren't just removing the top 20 runs with the exploit being used. The goal is to make the top 20 for each track in each event clear of exploits.Originally Posted by BigSh0tRob Go to original post
good enough to do it once, good enough to spend 30 to 60 seconds ish to do it again.Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai Go to original post
For a lot of people, the scores they have aren't from sitting down for 30-60 seconds. They are from multiple tries at completing a level before they ever got around to finishing.Originally Posted by Zany-Wabbit Go to original post
You obviously aren't high ranked in this game, otherwise you would know that it takes most people a lot longer than 30-60 seconds to get a good run on a track.Originally Posted by Zany-Wabbit Go to original post
Couple points DJ:Originally Posted by DJ_2wItchY Go to original post
1-anything done manually has the potential for human error (look at how the wrong Uplay recommended track got added to the PS4 feed for Mentalhobbit's track);
2-How do you tell the difference between an old coffin run and a new one?
I guess I envisaged a program that checks for input from the right analogue stick automatically during a run, combined with a timestamp check for pre/post patch, but this must not be possible.
Cheers.
Then on tracks like Ski Or Die or whatever it is, it'll still be impossible to get first without a coffin. I'm like 80th or worse on that because of coffins.Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai Go to original post
They are going to delete however many coffins it takes until the top 20 runs have no exploits. If a track has 80 coffin runs at the top they will all be deleted. If a track has coffin runs interspersed with clean runs, then coffins will be deleted until all 20 runs at the top are clean, no matter how many coffin runs that means.Originally Posted by Chicago__AJ Go to original post
Okay, looks like i misunderstood you. My point remains the same though.Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai Go to original post
Its not really fair to the lower ranked players who might not be able to beat a "lower than top 20" coffin run after the clean up.
There will still be countless coffin runs left, only not in the top 20.
Only cleaning up the top 20 seems kinda random and its unfair to the rest of the players.
