I wouldn't imagine one makes a line mediocre on purpose, more likely that he is still learning about DL but competent with decorating.Originally Posted by JolanXBL Go to original post
For me personally I like to have it all: both a good, clever DL with replayability and flow, and a strong theme with careful decoration.
i got to the first checkpoint and switched it off. tedious driveline . super average deco . most gud trackbuilders could spit this stuff out easy . sorry but when a track like this gets randomly picked to be the best thing EVER at least it should be on par with something that say ! amorphous /atilla/drangonmickey/ kush ..ect ..........................could do . this guy isnt even in the same ball park .who s waiting for the cave two ? sorry for being harsh but it my opinion
Well, that's fusion in a nutshell, standards are in the toilet.Originally Posted by kidmpc Go to original post
Yeah I know, everytime I go on Fusion on track central I cant download any tracks, constant failed downloads, and has been happening for about a week if not more now. I hope it gets sorted out so I can actually play all these cross platform tracks and all the others I know which have been released on the 360.Originally Posted by geordiedeviant Go to original post
This is not harsh, it is what it is. No need to sugar coat it because some people won't agree with it. The fact this track got picked for X-platform but many of the best tracks are left out makes me wonder who even picks these tracks...Originally Posted by kidmpc Go to original post
The article even says "When games have user created content — user made maps, tracks, levels — I tend to ignore them for the most part. There’s something just a little off about most of them: they lack polish, they’re inconsistent, don’t fit into the themes of the game, etc. But this track, The Cave, on Trials Fusion is absolutely worth the hyperbole of the above headline. It just might be the best user created content I’ve seen in a video game ever."
Seriously? If you make an article at least know what you are talking about. Calling this "best user created content' is, imo, a smack into the face of builders who actually release good tracks. This one is mediocre at best.
Just played through this, and it's far from best ever, but it was a decent track (compared to some of the "mytrack" stuff) but way too long/repetitive to be fun to try to get a better time/faults.
Shouldve been split in multiple short tracks imo with more refinement on driveline and more distinct deco to make areas stand out.
The underwater or upside down riding couldve been easily tracks on their own when extended instead of just being somewhere in this huge track.
Also the part I hated the most was the ending, Physics used like that at the end of a track is a bit brutal when 1 tiny shift could make you flip and crash, 1 more reason for me not to try and 0 it.
Gigatrack was long but far more interesting to 0 fault imo.
