Thanks for CREATING a problem .
Pretty much the same for me. My Specs are in my Sig. Sure the game dropped down to 30FPS while driving but it remained smooth enough to do any Fixer Mission or get away from the Cops. NOW I get the hitching and stuttering everyone else has been *****ing about. Yeah Ubi you really sorted that one out didn't ya....

That's my lonely stutter gone vote.

I had, after doing a lot of tinkering, minimal stutter before the patch which got annoying when driving at speed through shadow. this has gone post patch.
Basics of my P.C. i5 2500(oc), 8gb ram, r9-290 (oc). Latest amd beta driver.

Game settings before and after patch.
Steam launch option: -disablepagefilecheck (I have a rubbish optical hdd and will restart after a few hours play)
Display: 1920*1080 (native), textures ultra, borderless window mode (this might be fps capping but I am not noticing it and it made a big difference) .
Graphics: Ultra except, shadows high, pre rendered frames 3

I read about the Worse tweek/mod and it sounds great, although it was looking like it was getting a bit of bloat around 0.6, but I didn't use it because I can't be bothered with all the reinstalling until the game patches mature a bit.

The only stutter I had before patch was when driving when new scenery needed to load and this was seldom. My GPU has 6GB Vram and now the stutter is very bad, probably 20X worse.

    GPU: eVGA GTX Titan Black
    CPU: i7 4930K
MB: Asus Rampage IV Extreme Black Edition
    RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600

    Hallo,

my rig is: 3Xtitan , 3770k@4,7Ghz, 16 Gb Ram. After the patch the game is much more smoother. i use the nvidia 337.88 Driver. the newest one is a mess. Stuttering over stuttering.
i Play the game with Ultra Settings.

    Hey guys,

could you also post your version of windows in your message, if you have stuttering? For some it is included in the short dxdiag and others do not include it.
For some reason I have the suspicion that there are two types of stuttering problems currently, simultaneously:
    - Video memory stutter, thus the stutter caused by the game wanting to utilizing more VRAM than what is available (so if you have a 2 GB card and are running ultra or high, then you got this for sure)
    - Unexplained stutter, seemingly only present on systems that are running Windows 8 / 8.1.

Both stutter-types can be present at the same time, so if you've got 2GB VRAM and are running Windows 8/8.1, than the chances are that this game is simply unplayable...
This is purely an educated guess, since my friends run the game, under Windows 7, without problems at Ultra (having lower VRAM than me, they have 3GB/4GB while I have 6).
I recently upgraded from a GTX 690 (2GB VRAM practically usable) to EVGA 780 SLI (6GB) and noticed that some stutter was gone, while the infamous driving-stutter was still present at defined points (so when driving a certain route, the game would stutter at the exact same spots every time).

The framerate drops are huge, and the stuttering is bad because of it. My gpu's on my 5970 drop to 40% utilization in graphically intensive areas where a lot of assets in-game are occurring and I only get 23-30 frames at best because of it. Gpu's even drop into the 30% utilization and my framerate even dips into the 15's, and this happens frequently.

I made sure to watch the vram during all of this and I never even went over 1.8gb

    Low frame rate

The latest patch (as a wrote this at 21st June 2014) didn't solve graphic performance problem

    My specs:
    Motherboard: ASUS Z77 V PRO
    Processor: Intel i7 3770K @4.0GHz (chilled with Corsair H100i)
    Memory: G.Skill F3 2133C10D 16GXM
    Video Card: ASUS GTX 770
Hard Drive: Samsung 840 PRO 256G
    PSU: Enermax Platimax 750W
    Case: Corsair C70 Vengence
    Monitor: Samsung BX2250 Syncmaster
    OS: Win 7 64bit

And here's some low frame rate (using Fraps 3.5.99, see above right corner) snapshots:

Seriously.. how can a world class game developer did this to us???

I installed the Geforce 340.43 BETA driver hoping that it would perform better than the 337.88 WHQL driver and the game is still a STUTTERFEST when Textures is set at ULTRA. When the game stutters, the sound hitches as well

Why the hell did you include Ultra Textures when a huge percentage of your customers on PC with £650+ graphic cards are unable to use it???

You should have just locked it away like you did with the other settings and simply make it LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH. In fact THIS IS the one setting that actually negatively affects performance and for some reason you decide to include it and lock away other setting that TheWorse and Kadzait24 unlocked and actually improve performance. Your pathetic cheesy response claiming that you disabled those as they affect stability and that using the mods might break the game is being laughed at. Just check the comments on Guru3d and everywhere else about your excuse. The irony...

You should be ashamed of yourselves Ubisoft. This is the last time I am preordering your games. I was such a fool to let the hype get to me for this rushed unpolished game and to be honest VERY AVERAGE game which I would rate no higher than a 6.5/10. And that's from someone who has done EVERYTHING in the game. All missions, side missions, collectibles audio logs, you name it...

The stuttering is a lot worse post patch for me.Today I've tried couple of missions, but I quit because is terribly unplayable now. It ruins the experience. I don't know what they did with this patch, but they did not do their job. It's been a month after the release and they have not fixed the BIGGEST problem of this game. What did they fix with the patch? The pavements have better textures or what? I'm waiting for GTA V.

    my specs:
    4770K at 4.2GHz
    GTX 780
    Game is installed on SSD
    Windows 8.1
