exactly. Which is why I would prefer standard tournaments with permanant leaderboards over this. Bottom line is, I'd be much more motivated to take part in tournaments that mean something. A temporary leaderboard with a prize of a couple thousand xp hardly seems fulfilling, hence my demand for other rewards. If tournaments are going to be done like this, the proverbial carrot on a stick needs to be bigger, juicer, and more tasty.Originally Posted by En0- Go to original post

You say 'trials is not really about what the game gives me' - but it is, and you have said as such. You are happy with leaderboards only but you must recognise the impact medals have on the core gameplay.. Instant feedback (and gratification) is a core tenant of gaming. it's having nailed down the psychology of gaming that generates the huge player bases in games like WOW - effort, and reward. if that reward is tangible to you then fair enough, but for this new format of tourneys there is no instant feedback.
To try and explain it another way - medals work because you get bronze, that's a 'well done, you completed it to a satisfactory standard'.
Silver 'way to go, that's not bad!'
Gold 'Yeah, that's the ticket. You're good!'
Platinum 'Congrats, you rock at this game'
At each medal level there is instant feedback to the rider as to how well they did. Once past platinum and into being a good rider the challenge then lies only in beating your/other times. this is fine as you are already at a level where your skills have been recognised.
In the new tourneys, there is no instant reward. I was number 1 on one of the tourneys on Ps4... for about 10 minute before my times got demolished. Although I was 'number 1', it was meaningless. No instant feedback.
IMO, what would make the tourneys more in line with the core ethos of Trials is, if alongside the global ranking there were medals based on time/faults, (merely a combination of the standard track time/fault limits?). This would give players instant feedback. lower ranked players could set a time and be happy with the time they have set knowing it got them to the medal tier they are commonly used to (or go on to try for the next medal.)
Hopefully that makes sense![]()
dont even try asking for suggestions when we all know you turn a blind eye to anything being said. you go by your own schedule, sat by your lovely ubi-bosses in asia.Originally Posted by En0- Go to original post

i like the idea of using "medal tiers" instead of % ones, so you know insantly if you atleast qualified for the reward, certainly if you did your run in the early stages of the tourneyOriginally Posted by WonkyJon Go to original post
would also be nice to have some overal statistics of how you did on all tourneys you joined(highest % ever, total tourneys joined, average %, highest medal, highest rank,...)
I'll say it once more: More you're hateful, less we'll come here to talk.Originally Posted by eflixxx Go to original post
Also, we already said: it's not because it's requested we'll do it, but we read the feedback and we make our own decision on what should come in and when.
Shifty also explained it.
Why spoil things for the rest of the people who DO enjoy Fusion? If you don't like it don't play it man.Originally Posted by eflixxx Go to original post
While I think people really should just stop with the sh!tty/unconstructive comments at this point I'd also hope that RL can rise above them and continue to engage with the constructive criticism dotted about the place for the sake of what's left of this community. Your posts are much appreciated En0, I hope we can get to a point where this communication becomes less strained.
