So if tournaments offered lots of money, xp, and new gear and stuff, it might be somewhat worthwhile. Also, give us our old standard tourneys.
    I like your thinking.

I think it's great we finally got a feature that we all have been desperately asking for for a long time!... RIght?... We asked for this right?... hmmmm.

After you reach lvl 100 the only thing that is somewhat tempting is the 'Fusion bike tires". That's it.
So winning XP doesn't really entice me.
But cool idea, I like how there is several tournaments that cycle on timers but XP isn't very rewarding imo.

    Pros:
-competition favors skill over persistence, since there is little time to compete.
    -rewards

    Cons:
-xp is horrible motivation. A player can get a couple thousand xp in minutes if they really wanted it. At least up the prize by 10x
    -no money!?
-there should be two tournament modes. One classic mode, with classic all time leaderboards, and one random one like we just got. Why can't we have the best of both worlds?
-this new tournament mode desperately needs real rewards. Xp is so useless on its current form. How about you add special rider gear and bike parts that only those who place in certain tiers in these competitions can have the right to purchase.

Edit: I'm also noticing the game doesn't restrict you from selecting bikes that can't possibly finish the extreme tournaments (Baggie). Seems obvious enough, but a fail safe should've been implimented. Also, with this in mind, does this mean we won't get any bike specific tournaments?

Edit2: nevermind. You select your bike at the start of each track now, instead of just one for all.
i don't see any solutions for the rewards here, more xp?xp is pointless so more of it doesn't do anything either
money, sure they could give some, but in the end it doesn't matter anyway because eventually you'll have enough money to buy everything, no money sinks exist in the game
special rider gear is something redlynx can do sporadicly they can never make enough to ever be a valid reward besides for some big tourneys that happen very infrequent(would like this to happen though)

You can still get to the best 10% in most of the tournaments if you really want to. I ended up roughly around 50th place the first two tournaments. (best 5%).

I'm not exactly a top-player. I have platinum for every challenge to medium, golds for hard (incl. iceclimb and other skillgames), silver for the first 3 extreme tracks and bronze for the last two levels. Thousands of players are better than me.

It's interesting to zero fault 3 tracks in a row while trying to do it faster and faster. It takes a lot more mastery of the levels, which I found to be good practice!

It's a nice little free extra addition to the game, sort of dynamic content that's different each couple days.

I don't know if it will reward anything else beside xp, or if there will be more rider/bike unlocks, but I hope so.

Giving different prizes for different rankings is an incentive to improve but now we just need something to make the extra xp above level 100 useful aside from standard rider levels.

    Hi guys,

The reward system is not definitive and we're looking at to improve this loop of challenges/rewards. It's just a first version that we can extend later. (sparkierjonesz partially explained why it's not easy to give a meaningful system at the moment)

Personally, just the leaderboard of the tournaments is a reward that motivates me enough to keep playing.

Trials is not really about what the game gives to me when I am good to keep me playing, it's more a competitive game where I can push myself to improve my skills among a community and see how I rank.

But as said previously, we're looking at what would be the best possible way to reward tournaments. Feel free to propose.

    Cheers,
