You DID downgrade the Grphical settings after E3. Proof.

Need I say anymore? you (Ubisoft) thought you can trick the fans and PC gamers by lieing to them lmao. As much of a disappointment the game was, your company is too.

Yeah, it's rather sad. Here's a bunch more evidence. http://imgur.com/gallery/QCmYD My guess is they dumbed down the PC version of the game so it would somewhat compare to the console versions. Either that or they also dumbed down the XB1/PS4 versions and we just can't edit code.

Edit: Apparently there was a problem with flickering lights? And that's why they did what they did, but that sounds somewhat like a BS excuse.

Why does this thread not have more views? Anyways, I found this as well. Looks like this will be a continuing thing with Ubisoft... http://imgur.com/gallery/RIemQTR

Well yes, but it's not just about the PC. It's about Ubisoft in general. This seems to be a recurring thing they've concocted up.

If they aren't happy writing code for consoles then they should just make their games for PC. They seem to be slipping in the usual standards they have been known for imo.

I think you might have it backwards. They dumbed down the PC version so it was comparable to the console versions. (next-gen) They didn't want to make the PS4/XB1 look bad. It was either their own doing for some reason, or they were paid by Sony and Microsoft to do it. Those are the only things I can think of.

You said I had it backwards but that article tells another story. In case you missed my point.

Now let me play the devil’s advocate in this last paragraph. Yes, this comment feels arrogant as hell but perhaps it was included in order to indicate that the PC version did not need special command lines.

    WD-Hidden-Comment

Taking a closer look at this particular file, we can see that the ‘float3 upperColor’ command has special values for Xbox One. Ubisoft has lowered the settings of this particular setting on Microsoft’s console. Therefore, the ‘This is PC, who cares’ comment is obviously a comment indicating that the PC version does not need such workarounds or limitations.

So there you have it. While at first glance this comment will drive you crazy and will make you start cursing Ubisoft, this may very well be a comment showing that the PC version features the best visual effects that were not compromised at all. Or a bad dev joke (that was kept for no apparent reason).
