In context, it's a harmless comment. That part of the shader isn't compiled unless it's being run from a Xbox 360 or PS3 build. The comment is basically saying "this is meant to be PC only but who cares, it won't get called on a non-PC because of the preprocessor check anyway". The point is, it means nothing; that line probably never gets called under any circumstances, or its effect is nullified.

Hence the comment "who cares", because they left it in there rather than restructure the preprocessor arguments, but "who cares" because it doesn't get called anyway on its target platform.

But instead of being reasonable, almost everyone chooses to point fingers and accuse the developers of having a bad attiude, based on "evidence" that they don't even understand.
Okay, sure. So why not just "N/A. PC only", or simply "PC only"? I get your logic but I disagree with you about what "who cares" meant. Are there any "PS4 only, who cares" or "XBONE only, who cares" lines as well?

"This is PC only Who cares"

Hey Ubisoft You see that? Infectious insanity ,This man needs to be isolated Who said "This is PC only Who cares"

Is this the way ubisoft really works? Uncle Newell will be shocked. I'd hate for Uncle Newell to have to see this.

Obviously it is not the programmer saying "who care about the PC port"..

The thing is though, the sentiment in this line seems to be indicative of what Ubisoft actually think about the PC port quality. "Who cares".. A Freudian slip, perhaps.

This is unacceptable but it doesn't surprise me coming from ubisoft montreal considering arkham origins where they wanted to make and sell dlc instead of fixing and patching a bugged game.

I mean they released this game without any crossfire support and claim this is next-gen technology. Maybe for consoles this is next-gen tech but for pc something that doesn't support crossfire may as well be considered outdated by about 5+ years.
