Should Division have it's own Three Dog.

Hey this might be a little out the box but why not. If you could remember that DJ from FallOut 3 (Three Dog) that kept us full of music and cheer at a bad time. It was very well done I think and was a great addition to that game. In some way could The Divisions benefit from something similar?

To be honest, i can live without hearing the same 10 songs over and over again ^^ but one thing is always cool - when you realy feel you have an Impact on the world. So at the beginning of the "campaign" it is chaos and one step at a time you get the system up and running. First some communication, then some news and at the end a radio-station like in Fallout 3 with news about my recent exploits and stuff. But in general, it is enough for me, when there is a good game-soundtrack that realy captures the chaos and the destruction in the city and some news-broadcast from time to time with updates to the situation.

I liked how in just cause 2 you would tune into the radio after a main mission and the news would report on what happened.and it was cool because the news report was pretty much always a cover up that the government made....familiar????....anyway I liked three dog. but that being said, besides the reporting of events going on around you, there would need to be hours and hours of music/talk-radio or something. games don't get too many songs and audio nowadays it seems... what if hey just asked the public to send in audio that they could use for free and not purchase a licence. for instance the radio could have guests and normal people like you and me could voice act as a random person being interviewed. if they like the acting they can have it. I would do it. just for the small chance of hearing my own voice in a game lol

Would love to have a station like The Fall Out (3 dog), but as stated in one of the replies with a greater scope of songs to be played. Maybe utilizing your own selection of music files. So the voice broadcasts happen at set periods between your own songs on your hard drive.

This would be a great way to keep mini updates and notifications of events that are happening and a nice report of actions you have completed. Leaving messages for friends via the radio could be fun too. Either the radio presenting sound bites created by players for each other or just voicing out written emails/messages to each other.

That's a freaking good idea for sure. To bad developers aren't good listeners -_-

Thanks for the feedback, you all have great ideas. Hopefully the developers give us something like this -_-

I think it is a good idea as well. Though they could perhaps play current music once you get it up and running. Would be pretty cool if it was like an actual station playing minimal music with headlines streaming that could also give us new missions and etc. as they come in.

So basically you guys want the Radio from GTA:V
A pretty large range of music (albeit across lots of stations) and the odd "breaking news" update on your current events.

    Pros:
Always nice to have a choice of background music.
Fun to listen to the repercussions of your actions.
Could receive side missions / spontaneous events from DJ
Pirate radio could be a bonus for setting up your base

    Cons:
Difficult to create (you can't please everyone musically)
    Looped music gets irritating.
"always online" means you'd need a constant updates of events
"always online" would mean "spontaneous events" would get swarmed

    - When there is a a good soundtrack, I don't need music on the Radio and in a setting like this, they have no infrastructure for a huge music repertoire^^
    - Breaking-News / Sidemissions are for the Group only, so you won't see any other players there. (there are max 4 players plus drone)
    - More a mission-recap/fallout mode, "after a heavy attack on the homebase of the cleaners the faction is destroyed and district 9 is now save" for example
    - The Idea is just to have a confirmation that you have an Impact on the world, what the consequences of your decisions are and in general more immersion.
