What happened?
Having had time away from gaming and trials for a while due to some personal chit, I excitedly downloaded Fusion blind without coming back here first (big mistake). I'm really blown away by how bad things have gotten so quickly. Playing the game was like seeing an old friend who has really let themselves go, lost 5 stone and become an alcoholic. The last time I was here was when evo was in its prime and expected something fairly special from Fusion. I've been trawling through the forums here looking for familiar names and most seem inactive or sorely disappointed with the game which is hardly surprising. The flaws within the game are obvious, have been repeated here ad nauseam and moaning about it now is useless so I won't.
But does anybody remember how good it used to be around here? The old forum with the dark green background and yellow text used to rock, this crap Ubisoft forum not so much. It used to be full of smart people who shared a passion, it really felt like a proper community. No bs, maybe I'm overly invested but I'm genuinely sad about the direction RedLynx has taken things. I don't understand why people seem to be blaming Ubi. Ultimately, RedLynx for whatever reason decided to sign the dotted line, probably with good intentions and it was the RedLynx team who developed Fusion, not any other Ubi studio. I won't even mention whatever FTP model is being peddled on mobile.
Anyway, although I'm tempted I'm not going to stay around here waiting for things to be fixed. HD and Evo were two of my favourite games ever and provided me with endless fun so thank you for that but I'm sorry, RedLynx has come to represent almost everything I dislike about modern gaming. You chose the mighty $ over the best community in all of gaming and I'm afraid I won't support that. Yeah that's pretty much the gist of it, nice to see you back anyway mayn (think I probably removed you from my xbox list but only because you werent around for a while, no beef)

Hey Orchid, long time no see. Hope all's well with you. Cant say im surprised to see you disappointed just like we all are. Some of us still play Evo from time to time.

I think RL/UBI have a mission. They want to see how quickly they can destroy the trials community. Congrats RL!

I'm sorry you're displeased with the game and I understand. I don't think a quick money-grab was the source, though. Otherwise it would've looked more like Trials Frontier. I think they were given a deadline they couldn't reach. Minus some bugs, I think they knocked the core game out of the park (not as far out of the park as Evo, but still far enough). I'm actually okay with this. I'm okay with waiting (to a point) for other features they didn't have time to get to. I'm very happy I got to play the core game before it was finished.
The duration it has taken for news of upcoming features since launch leads me to believe they really weren't ready for release. I suspect the community managers and developers are sitting in the background with grins on their faces knowing what's coming, but are under gag orders.
Though, I am losing patience and starting to side with all the negative posts here, I really do think this has the potential to be the best Trials game ever after all the feature updates and DLC.
I'm going to stick through this because I love this game and want to love it more. If you are still disappointed and give up for a while, I understand. I just urge you to check back every few months to see if the game has met your expectations yet.
