So I just watched the Q&A and noticed the comments from the dev's about eating and drinking being considered an issue in the game... I for one am very against this idea because it distracts (in my opinion) the task at hand: Return the city to its former self. I can imagine the market place being filled with water bottles and apricots as I type this and I think it clutters the intent.
When Red Storm first made Rainbow Six it was about mission prep, execution, and exploitation. Ghosts focused on execution, and Sam (admittedly I don't play Splinter Cell) was slinking in the shadows.
Now this new IP - with a fantastic idea of a DHS type unit cloaked in the shadows has been given the call to act, and as a player, I find zero fulfillment from finding a bottle of water or a molding sandwich. I do applaud the dev's on their week survival outing, I remember my time in MWTC survival course and it is a fond memory, but let us keep that out of the game. From Tier 1, to straight leg, to DHS types, this needs to be a game about restoring a city from CHAOS, not mindcraft with good graphics.
-Rant off...
On another note, great job dev team. I used to play R6/RS/UO/CO/BT and was tops on Clanladder (now defunct) on 1v1, this is the FIRST game since UO that bears the Tom Clancy tag that I am happy to see. (Siege now being a second as it looks to be closer to the roots of the R6 we played on old cartridge CPUs and 3DFX gfx cards)
- Also name in the kitty for the Malmo trip - Ive been to the middle east, the orient, never been to EU

I was thinking potentially having two separate servers could work. A Hardcore (where you need food and water and etc. to survivor) and a regular where it is just a buff. This way those hardcore gamers (Like myself) could enjoy that type of player while those who feel it is just a distraction (like the OP) could enjoy it their way. Obviously this wouldn't be the cheapest solution but just my idea for it. Either way this is a minor thing for me and not having the option for a hardcore mode or w/e would not hinder my experience.
That's a great idea, however I don't know, if and how the Division-multiplayer will work like.Originally Posted by TheDivsionFan Go to original post
Will it be a serverbrowser or a direct-server?
(if there's no serverbrowser, a regular- & hardcore-mode would be good, too)
Since it's less a MMORPG in the typical sense, in which you connect to a persistent multiplayer server, and more like a drop-in co-op experience with certain areas that are completely open MP... I have a feeling we won't see different "servers" for specific modes... There could be difficulty levels though.
