Hi there,
I'm new here so please be gentle
Just wondering how this game is going to work if you don't have a bunch of friends on XBL or PSN who play the game. Sure I can drop-in/drop-out with a load of randoms but it looks to me like being part of a persistent clan is the way to go.
Obviously this is potentially a great way to meet new online people, make friends etc, but if I'm in the UK and part of a US clan, is it safe to assume I'll be able to roam around on my own for a few hours, and how does that affect things like mission progression and supplies, as well as day/night transitions?
Really, really looking forward to this - since seeing the E3 footage it's actually convinced me to go for a next-gen console, and I bought Ghost Recon: Future Soldier today so I could try out a Tom Clancy game for the first time. Pretty enjoyable stuff so far, much better than COD or Battlefield.
Cheers
Neil
It should be no problem to roam around and solo the content, when it is not marked as group events.
- Able to play solo through most of the content other than specifically marked group events
- Seamlessly move between solo, co-op, and PVP

How hard it is going to be when you do it all by yourself is pure speculation - but when you have good control, and use the cover like in the videos you should have a chance
but from experience it is always better to have a teammate that you know, can relly on and also talk to for coordination.
The Division is an Online, Open-World, RPG. This means huge open-worlds to discover and explore, endless opportunities for looting and crafting, player-progression, a strong focus on team-play and synergies, the possibility to meet new people or to trade, and more. You can definitely enjoy the game if you play “alone”, but this title is designed to offer the best social online multiplayer experience in a reactive living-world; there won’t be any offline support.
Well I'm sure they will have an option to join a random group of players but my self I do like to play with people I know so I would probably find my self running around solo until someone logs on however I don't mind making new online friends so if your going to be on the PS4 I would happily join a group with people
The game developers have also stated they put in work to their matchmaking to ensure similar people are matched together. So if you are one to take your time and go AFK sometimes or something like this then you will be matched with other players who do that. The converse also applies. Their goal is to ensure that even when pairing up with randoms you will get the best experience possible.
Yes I remember seeing that I don't mind if people go afk in games though most of us have commitments and need to from time to time plus I have a wife two dogs and two horses to sort out as well as work so don't get loads of game time any more but I do try and pay for a night out for her and the girls sometimes so I can get some game time in![]()
