You must be light handed when using your controllers if it doesn't make much difference to you.
I can tell you from personal experience the resistance levels in the 360 triggers compared to the X1 are very different.
For people who arent ultra light handed like me, It causes the simplest bunny hop to turn into a slide backwards because in the game and the amount of throttle being exerted thats the difference in relative position between the two controllers by the same pressure being applied to the trigger.
    Blaze my friend,

hense why I said specifically 'I think it's about the controller that is not lose, you are comfortable with'

The main part of that being 'you are comfortable with' . I'm sure there are countless people that could complete ninjas on Xbox One better than you can on Xbox 360, basically saying that using the Xbox 1 controller/triggers isn't a disadvantage, it may be to you but it's not a fact that the triggers are a disadvantage.

As this thread is about 'what is the best controller for trials game' Like I said in my previous post, it's all about what YOU are COMFORTABLE with. There is no answer to 'what is the best for everyone' because it is down to personal preference

    I understand what your saying,
Though you seemed to have missed the part of me talking about light handed players, perhaps like you?
Compared to someone who is heavy handed, Like I am.

I still strongly think that nomatter who it is, and regardless of how light handed they are on the triggers,
that the levels or precision you can achieve with throttle using the resistant heavy cushioned triggers like that on the 360 can never be matched with the design of the XB1 triggers.

For speedrunning you may never notice, I would presume you are a light fingered player, your'e not heavy handed with the controller?

For higher level ninja difficulty that requires precision with wall climbs I don't think the 360 trigger efficiency can be matched when using a XB1 controller and its triggers regardless of practice and light handed players. The resistance and sensitivity are that different, they arent even close.

The triggers were designed for games like COD to go in instantly and give very limited resistance.

What a neat video. I was always curious about some of those controllers and glad to see them without risking my own cash first lol

Agree about your comments about the x1 controller regarding precision throttle control et al Believe it or not I find the Ps4 controller better for trials, but seems the triggers on that controller weren't designed for that kind of punishments and i find my right trigger has gotten sticky - as has my l1 button, which has nothing to do with trials.

Damn Blaze.. you got Trials all down to a science n sh1t!
    Nice post.

i can only speak to the X1 and 360 controller as those are the only ones i have played Trials with.

For me, the 360 controller is BY FAR the best Trials controller.
You are exactly right about hill climbs and throttle control.
Its sooooo much harder with the X1 controller.
The X1 triggers are hugely different from the 360 triggers.
Great for shooters, NOT for Trials.

As soon as Microsoft makes the 360 controller available for use on the X1 (or when some hobbyist or company comes up with a solution for this)
im going to put my X1 controller down for Trials.
Maybe its just a psychological thing like Venomz is saying but for me its almost like if im playing with a handicap atm.

i disagree with you about the X1 controller analog sticks.
They are too sturdy for me and i also dont like how small they are.
i have pretty big hands though so maybe that could be why i dont like them.
I prefer the 360 sticks flexibility and the fact that they are bigger is also a big plus to me.

Xbox One controller is the inferior Trials controller in my opinion.

My advice to you is to bring a brand new perfectly working 360 controller with you.
And also pick two of your old 360 controllers, and bring them as extras, just to be safe.

its a fact that they are different though.
Pretty sure every ninja would prefer the 360 triggers over the X1 triggers by miles.
But like you was kinda saying: psychology also plays a role in these things..

As the ambassador to the Trials PC community, shouldn't you be using a keyboard?

Sorry to bump an old post, but years after release I wonder what the feeling is now. I know that must pro's play (or switched to) Xbox. Does the controller play a role in it or is it the stronger design community?

Given that people still manage high level ninja's on the PS4 they're probably not significantly worse (if at all), but does it matter at the very high top? NInja6-7? Is it relevant?
