Why repeatedly bug me to "reconnect" when I'm in offline mode? | Forums

When I choose to play in "Uplay offline mode" the game still alerts me that the Ubisoft connection has been lost and prompts me to reconnect to post my scores after every race. Why?

On the skills levels where you need to hit R a lot to try again, this gets very annoying.

Here's the line of code you can have for free :

if (offline-mode) {
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO POST SCORES;
DO NOT PROMPT USER TO CONNECT AFTER EVERY RACE;
}

I know this code is pretty advanced stuff. Only the top engineers will understand it, so apologies to anyone overwhelmed by the high-level technical nature of this post.

I agree with the suggestion though. Playing offline gets very annoying very fast because of this.

Just bought the game today, and I'm having the same issue. Tired of getting prompted every 5 minutes to connect to Ubisoft servers to post to the leaderboards when I specifically place Uplay in offline mode to prevent this sort of thing. It's just about as bad of a design choice as the "Always On" DRM from the early Assassin's Creed games.

Had to edit my previous post.. this issue is still happening at the end of every track.

I never saw an update on Steam either. Are you sure a patch was released? Why would you say it's fixed when it's not fixed?

No updates on Steam, this game still has the same problem as originally posted.
