I need to know! What was the excuse given explaining why a game that is primarily online, and loads tracks purely from online, has little to no online connectivity?
It is such a frustration to load Fusion, then hammer the A button in hopes that I will be privileged to download 1 track. Are any other Ubisoft games experiencing this problem? And if RedLynx is now part of Ubisoft, why does Evo's Track Central load without a hitch? I mean, do they need to upgrade their internet plan, or buy some extra cables..? It's been more than a week, are they ordering in parts from another city?
I don't know how you do your updates but in the online world of Second Life, they ran a clone of the regular server for testing new things. The main grid would go down for a few hours at the most, and they simply unplugged & swapped out the server drives.
I've been trying to be optimistic since the beginning. Yes, there are some problems and Yes, there is no public multiplayer, BUT at least we had Track Central, even for a little while. It's a mess, and there are issues, but we could still find something that we hadn't beaten to death. Now I have Gold in all of Single Player, and almost all of the challenges. I have a number of projects started; but for the moment I really don't feel like working on any of them.. at least not the ones in Fusion.
I'm looking for a definite, honest answer here; No more "We're looking into it", or "When it's Done", and no more rumors & finger-pointing! My mind is trying to piece this whole situation together; I am very tired and I don't like the what it's saying. I do not want this to turn into another FC incident.. I won't go into that but it was very depressing..
Whether I release more tracks in Evo, or just do something else, I won't be returning to Fusion until at least this 'Unable to Connect' issue is dealt with, hopefully for the better. Now let me be clear on this: I am not trying to sound like one of the players making demands, calling out 'boycott' and 'refund'. I LOVE the trials series, I talk about it at work and to people who I barely know & don't give a damn about videogames. I draw up plans and code on receipt paper then toss it on the desk with the others when I get home. I am constantly thinking about the colors and shapes; it's as addictive to me as GTA is and Halo was. I am tired of getting angry at this game I love so much, and I am sad that there's so much negativity about it, and... I know much of it is correct but.. I am addicted.
So I am sad that it's just.. stuck. The community is stuck. No multiplayer, no contests or events, and now.. no tracks..

Ubisoft is a mess, fusion is a mess, I haven't played fusion in weeks now, and this morning I accidentally clicked on it and was quickly annoyed, then I realised...oh wow, I must really not like fusion that much, so I went to the dashboard and played evo like always. Still a lot of challenges left for me on evo, so no regrets playing it, doesn't matter that there's not many people playing it, i don't really care about that anymore, all I care about is having an alright time, and evo does that for me....as for the server issues....they prob rushed things, made lots of errors and have an unorganised team doing the work for the servers.
Don't ban me for expressing my opinion shifty, if you have a problem with anything I've said pm me about it...seems like I should put this in my sig now...sigh...
You say you have beaten all the tracks to death but then say you have Gold medals in all of the single player levels. You do know there are Platinum medals right?
I too finished playing Fusion a few weeks ago. I have Platinum medals on every course bar Inferno IV (two faults) and have completed every challenge bar Pipe Phobia (couldn't be bothered anymore after spending an hour or two on it). If I hadn't bought the season pass I wouldn't be returning and if I knew then what I know now I wouldn't have bought it.
After the marvellous progression of the Trials series since its inception we were anticipating a masterpiece in Fusion but you effectively delivered a half finished backwards step.
At least we'll always have the genius that is Evolution to remind us of what could have been.
Aside from some badly announced maintainance to uplay like 2 weeks ago (had to go to ubi twitter to find out about it),and the Watchdogs launch had a rough week, there hasn't been many other major downtimes for me on PC.
Frontier had quite a bit of connection issues after the WD launch but it seems all fixed now and I unlocked the Step in the Light suit on both games.
I fully agree however , when the game IS offline, there's little to do beside building, no TC, no leaderboards, pretty much no Trials.
I know a patch is coming to fix a lot of issues for all platforms, and we still got a whole lot of content updates (free & DLC) , I cannot judge the game's actual content fully until that is out, many games have had rough/bad starts and turned out to be really good for years.
TC isn't in the best layout right now but it's also being worked so all we can do is wait and see how it turns out.
As for PC, I still think this game is better then Evo Gold which had an even rougher launch for the first half year, and I still build like 15 tracks on that cause I enjoy that aspect of the game. But I haven't been one of the people who constantly seemed to have major issues with it.
I did not have season pass issues either , most likely cause I got the game directly from the source (Uplay).
Of course there are negative things, of course there are issues, no game is "perfect". But for now I am waiting to see how the first patch + DLC turns out before judging the whole game or companies.
Cause for me, Fusion still gives me fun, and there aren't many other game alternatives in it's genre for PC that also allow building, they are pretty much all Trials series and I happen to like Fusion's editor a lot, despite certain limitations(no wood/rusted objects etc), which are hopefully are fixed in the future.
I have no experience with console versions of Trials, so I cannot say anything about those, including HD/Evo.
What annoys me about Track Central at the moment is the amount of terrible tracks that have been uploaded and get aptly named 'MyTrack1', 'MyTrack2', 'MyTrack3456556.1'.
I can seriously count on one hand the great designed tracks I've downloaded and played.... I'm tired of downloading something that looks promising and actually turns out terrible. I never remember EVO being like this.
the 48 hour feed in Evo was generally a massive help, what we got now is effectively 'new trials' and nothing else, hence the rubbish track overloadOriginally Posted by RetroManHD Go to original post
Yeah, when I check every day the new tracks I'm lucky to play 1-2 good tracks, It annoys me that people don't even try to be creative with their tracks, guess that's hence the editor objects. At least on PS4..Originally Posted by RetroManHD Go to original post
