is anyone really using "extract function"? imo its not bad, but i really dont need it AND its causing problems. now my game crashed because of it (dont know why exactly) and 3 hours of work just gone... again (!)... no need to say that my motivation is also gone for todayif i save a logic chain with "extract function" to my favorites (xb1) its always just instantly crashing the game and there is no chance to delete those broken favorites. im really pissed about that, guys. isnt there any way to fix this? or what about an option for auto-save all 5 or 10 minutes? sometimes im building for 6 hours straight and if you lose all this work its a pure nightmare!

Hi, just a couple of issues and one suggestion.
The glue pivot adds two objects to the total count on the statistics overlay.
A camera with physics turned on, are attached to another (physics) moving object using a physics joints, will, when teleported as a set group, not be in the location it was OPEd too, it then snaps to its supposed position, which creates its on problems, also sometimes the camera when re-entering the editor from testing will stay in its last location (from testing!!), this then adjusts the physics joint to that location!, you can fix this by adding a glue pivot to the camera however.
Rotational physics joints on X axis glitch, its identical to how the bike tire glitches, i believe from observing several metrics that the rotational direction gets flipped (eg, cw to ccw) in certain situations and happens when the rotation is about to transition 0 to 360 or vis-versa. The Y axis is just plain buggy, its kind of funny observing this. The Z axis is the most stable rotational axis, i have yet to observer any issue with this
Please if possible can you add a folder options to track management, even if its just a hidden text file containing track names and a folder name that spoofs them, as my saved editor count is getting quite high, this is due to my habit of saving every time with a new filename, as an example qwe000 to qwe482, plus i have many other files now, i filled 3 HDD on 360 with creations (>2000 files), i cant imagine what it will be like in a few more months, just endless pages of files. This could also give you the option to add a favourites folder, with sub folders for each category or even better an option to rename/add more sub folders![]()

couple of ideas to help me (me me me me me, me too)
please add 7.5 and 22.5 degree snap option so 15 and 45 degree ramps can be properly snapped as horizontal attachments, not sure if any other odd degrees exist, if so please add them too.
also if possible, add an option so the editors camera reset to driving line angle is user defined 0-360, as i always align the driving line to the world x axis as close as possible so z+ goes into the distance and x+ off to the right, this helps me when placing world aligned objects as i always use the world coordinate system. the ability to set it to any angle and override the default behaviour would be a great addition i feel.![]()
i tried to attach a glowing cone to the backwheel and found some bugs:
i attached the cone on the pit viper, then i tested it on the viper, rabbit, panda and foxbat. now the foxbat gets the panda proportions and also the rider changed to the panda posture (+ tireglitch btw) after that i tried to test it with the viper again and the game freezed immediately. same problem if you test it with the roach or with point to point in the physics joint. probably the same problem will happen on the baggie aswell, but i havent tested it yet. anyway those bugs happend 3 times in a row.
now im scared because im using this in a track im working oncan my trackfile get corrupt?
hi mutetus, the problem is not the physics joint. the bike selection itself is broken:
- start a new track
- select the pit viper
- select the rabbit
- select the panda
- select the foxbat
- test the physics = panda proportions on the foxbat
- select the viper or roach = game freeze
if you start the game after the freeze again your track is gone.
