@dasraizer In your OneDrive video, what is the purpose of the Clamp Filter and its State Event? I'd love to know more optimization techniques.
Also what did you mean by "I didn't expect this". Was the Vector not holding the correct values? I've had many occasions where I've had to work around little quirks with Vectors not updating. :P
hey pneumaticbog484, the impulse clamp is set up so it receives 1 impulse, sends none and has no wait, if its disabled it just passes the impulse on, im using it here so it one shots the set vector to update a value, i then enable the clamp to stop further impulses (if you match the wait time with received @1 tick per, it can act as a crude generic filter, although im not sure how optimised it is vs a standard generic filter)
what the clip shows is when one value in the vector is update both of the two input operators (and subsequent chains) are recalculated, even though they are pointing to different indexes in the vector. this happens all the time when updating any values attached to operators including the curves, hence why i would love to have a way of controlling when an update is required, just fill in the data set and then say calculate this please, with an impulse, and when it has pass this impulse on to what ever its attached to.
oh before i forget, your latest 1st person skill game is amazing, great use of controller re-mapping too.
I put a driving line down in a forest with a lot of grass in it. Before I even put any objects on it, the game was running at 40 FPS. (360 version)
Is this a glitch or is the game's performance just that bad?
Also, layers are completely broken for me. Hidden layers never stay hidden, whenever I lock a layer it locks objects in a different layer, and the current layer changes completely at random, which makes them too frustrating to use even if they did work.
Again, sorry for double posting this (also in the PC thread) but this might affect all platforms , and a word of warning do not use the Rusted Seed building.
Just found another bug with the new Rusted seed building (Block):
If you have any of the walls/ceilng/floor set to Walltype - User Defined, with the broken checkbox ticked, it will reset the wall to either solid or empty with no selection icons when you save the track and load it later.
It basicly seems to untick the "broken" checkbox, and when there is no solid variation found it turns it to an empty wall with no way to select it (different then Wall Type - Empty).
Different things happen to different wall/ceiling/floor variations in those cases:
Ceiling: 2 solid(=non broken) variations , 20 Broken variations. Broken Variation 1-2 will make turn the ceiling to solid variation 1-2, variation 3-20 will make it empty with no selection icon.
Floor: 2 solid variations (number 2 is empty), 20 Broken variations. Broken Variation 1 will make return the floor to solid variation 1, variation 2-20 will make it empty with no selection icon.
Wall: 12 solid variations , 20 broken variations. Broken variation 1-12 will return the wall to solid variation 1-12, variation 13-20 will make it empty with no selecting icon.
Keep in mind this has nothing to do with those wall types : Auto/Solid/Broken/Empty, purely User Defined.
As a builder I would avoid the rusted seed building completely (not the base-game seed-building) as it might turn your broken walls solid or empty when sharing as it does on loading the track save.
(cannot test this as i don't want to share a broken track)
Edited above post with clarifications but will continue posting about Rusted Seed Building Block problems here from now on :

Xbox 360, DLC installed.
Found a game crashing bug in the editor & a vaguely amusing graphic glitch
Important one first:
Game Crashing bug
Situation: Building SX track.
Ubisoft sign at start of track (although I dont think this really matters) Variation event attached to sign.
Extracted function (just to see what would happen). This created 2 icons, Function & OUT_OB
I selected OUT_OB & pressed up on the d-pad for Object properties,
At this point whole x-box freezes and needs to be restarted.
Vaguely Amusing Graphical Glitch
Again, creating SX.
While testing, switching lanes while restarting the track will sometimes cause the rider to (mostly) freeze, while the riders stomach will stretch away from rider and go for a roll around the place!!
the bike wheels also freeze, while the bike body just kinda drops to the floor :S
I will try and post a vid if I get a chance to record one.
