Changing the forums to this Ubi garbage, then releasing a bad attempt at a Trials game will certainly put people in a negative mood. Don't act like the negativity magically came out of nowhere.

I have made posts in the past that got the good ol' Shifty treatment, and got the reply, "It does't matter that you didn't break the rules, I felt you were trolling."
I forgive you though. It's good to see you are learning from your mistakes, and growing as a moderator/manager.

The Shifty treatment? If the Shifty treatment means a warning for 20 trollish comments then I'm obviously not heavy handed. Like I said earlier, we're not letting everything slide any more. Break the rules, pay the price.

I would never accept an handout like a brand new controller, much less 2 of them. The generosity of a gift from a total stranger would be too much on my conscience. GAS, i hope you intend on repaying the kindness someday when your 'situation' warrants you.

And im inclined to agree with Awesome, if this was still on the old forums during the peak of HD/Evo, i dont think it wouldnt turn out like this....subconsciously anyway. (Not taking anything away from you Xzample, just sayin).

This was a disappointing read. While it had moments of agreeing and disagreeing, this has turned into an awful mess. What most of you are missing is that we are all or at least most of us are adults here. We need to handle the forums as adults. The OP was a beautiful way to say Thank You. In no part of the OP does it push to be a negative thing.

If you have an issue, PM the person. By posting it on the thread you leave it open to more negativity and trolling and plainly it just makes you look bad. (this goes for anybody. I'm not going to single anyone out!)

I know we could go pointing fingers here at who's right and who's wrong, but I think Ownership of how the situation was handled, needs to be taken on Both Sides. It should not have escalated this far and as a result, negative actions are being taken.

We the Community, need to be the Moderators of not only ourselves but of other people in the community. WE REAP WHAT WE SOW, PEOPLE! All negativity does is fuel more negativity. If your not satisfied with where the game and community are going, then you need to make the change from within through positive interaction on the forums; And in Xbox Live Parties for that matter.

If we aren't careful, we'll destroy ourselves from within. -No Joke.

@GAS_PR1CES - Great Post! Your a lucky guy for getting those controllers! Make Sure to put 'em to good use.

Anyway, yeah guys, calm down. Even with working, it is still a huge inconvenience to spend 40$ on a controller after a broken one. I myself would probably ask my friends if they had a spare before going out and buying a new one. It's not lazy at all, it's just called saving money.
Take this into consideration: NO ONE forced emerica to send him a controller, which means he probably had a spare that no one was using. Why let a good controller go to waste? So he spread the trials love. Gas Prices doesn't owe him sh*t other than tremendous gratitude (and maybe a beer or two), because emerica was obviously happy to do it.

So instead of complaining, think about how great a community such as this one can be. No need for negativity.

In this thread, the OP did something I never even could consider; Try to get compassion for a broken Controller and begging for New one several times. One time as joke, OK, but several times, no! Then, why put out that thread at all? He can thank this guy by PM.

And if you think buying a Controller is a huge inconv, then Im not sure what to say. How about other stuff in the household that gets worn out? Do you get mad and complain to the store when your milkbottle is empty???

The negativity is a result of the forum migration, and the release of an unfinished "next gen" Trials. This was, and still is, a great community.

everything changed since the forums got moved to ubisoft, and later there was more to complain about with fusion not being great
even the biggest fans have a hard time saying positive things about anything that happend in the last months
