Got killed while being hacked, lost weapons , hideouts are gone, cant get them back.. | Forums

i just had the same thing happen to me last week i got all 100 hotspots a ton of guns lots of money and story missions complete and all of a sudden i did an online hacking game and got killed. Once i got back into my game i had nothing except for a pistol. My game was basically thinking i had just started a new game it wouldn't let me use any hacks i had unlocked even though the skills tree still said they were all unlocked. Even trying to join a online game wouldn't work as the game said i didn't complete the required quest yet even though i had the entire story complete. Its very stressful to put so much time into a game and have it all taken away by something i cant control i mean on PC you probably have a few saves you can backup but im playing on ps4 so its pretty much just the 1 save that gets overwritten over and over, and yes i know if i have playstaion plus i can back saves up but honestly i shouldn't have to worry about something like this happening when i already paid 60 dollars to play the game.

One would think that by now, UBI would know better than to have a single save file that can get corrupted (as opposed to auto saving multiple files where you can go back a step or two). This isn't the first time this sort of corruption happens. I've seen it in at least 5 different Ubi games I own. 6 pages in this thread and a week has already passed and the issue isn't even up on their sticky post (looks like they don't think it's important that their game is unplayable for a large section of customers).

like is does anyone even care from ubi, is it not priority to get rid of a game breaking bug thhat could potentially delete any user's progress to the start, **** OFF! NOW I HAVE WASTED LIKE 15 MOTHER ****ING HOURS ON NOTHING

I'm experiencing the same exact problem. I was in the middle of running from the cops when someone was stealing data from my phone at the same time. I was killed when the hacker was at about 90% and when I respawned I only had a PX-4 pistol and a Lure in my weapon wheel where before I died I had a gold D50, an ACR, the blackout, frag, and IED, abilities, etc. (my wheel was full of the best stuff I could get by Act II) and I also had a royal blue outfit on. After I died my outfit was reaet to default, I could not repurchase the weapons I had previously bought (same with outfits) unless I picked those weapons up again and some of my perks, including crafting devices, could no longer be crafted, I couldn't open gates, activate barriers, move bridges, or open cars without busting their windows out. I haven't played much of the game and it seems this is the "Breaking Bug" as it has been labeled by Ubisoft. This was immediately after the mission where Aiden's original apartment with his equipment was destroyed. I hear this has also been happening to players of all consoles. I hope Ubiaoft plans to fix this because I do not want to start over and I miss my gold DEagle :*(

Invading someone, they killed me, and boom lost it all.

i had all weps and outfits, finished the main story, and now this?

Please don't tell me I bought season pass and everything to sit here and not have this game all summer.

I'm a little concerned by the lack of Ubisoft response.

note that this is a legit copy on PS3
So I was being chased by the cops, level 5 to be specific.
I was being invaded too, I identified the hacker immediately by accident and he ran me over
So I respawned, I found out that my outfit was reset to default, I tried pulling out a weapon.. nothing was in the weapon wheel except a crappy pistol and the "Lure"..
I couldn't craft anything too :/ Neither play online anymore..
I tried going back into the weapon shop to get my weapons back, I couldn't get the ones that I already had back... about the ones I didn't.. well, there wasn't anything I didn't get from the weapon shop.
BTW I've noticed that I can't use any skills anymore, in the skills tree it says that I unlocked them but if I try to use them they won't work except the focus and profiler optimization (the ones i've noticed), I couldn't raise bridges or spikes.
Also ALL of my hide outs are gone from the map.
Please help..

The same exact thing has happened to my Xbox 1 copy of Watch Dogs. I was killed while profiling someone and now I've lost everything
