    Watch Dogs Multiplayer on new-gen sorely needs these improvements.

    I've played the multiplayer quite a bit for a game that's been out a little more than a full day, enough to be listed as top 1% of the world (who knows if that's really accurate) and this is what Watch Dogs needs implemented as soon as possible for Multiplayer to live on in this game.

    EDIT:

    Open World Activities

    -Gang Hideouts and Convoys need to be infinitely replayable. There's no reason why they shouldn't be. I cannot stress enough how important this is to this game. Open worlds, good ones anyway, exist to make you feel like you're in a world that exists on it's on without you. It's not supposed to feel like a theme park that only lets you ride it's best rides once. Red Dead Redemption did this best when it let us replay Gang Hideouts and gave us random encounters forever.
    -It won't happen, but this game could really use some ambushes or random assaults on Aiden. Aiden stirs up enough **** in this game to warrant having a constant bounty on his head but he never does unless he's played like a monster ******* and then cops show up. If Aiden is a good guy it means he's nonlethally taken down a lot of criminals and really angered The Viceroys and The Club. The criminals he left alive should have random vendettas against him like ambushes in alleyways while he chases another criminal or is just walked around. And, the gangs should be trying to kill him with driveby's and random convoy attacks.
    -ctOS centers need to be replayable as well. They should just turn into gang hideouts after you do them once. Given Blume's motivation in the story and their chosen method of enforcement with lethal force for ctOS centers, it makes zero sense that when one gets compromised, it becomes completely abandoned. If anything, it should be repopulated with even harder enemies after the first time.


    Free Roam
    -Adversarial Mode needs to put you in a lobby with people who also have this mode turned on.
    -Adversarial Mode should not prevent two friends from entering the same car without Benny Hill-jacking each other out of it.
    -This problem could be solved by letting us party up through the phone interface you want us to use so much.
    -There needs to actually be something to do in Free Roam. Knowing Ubisoft, this is asking too much at this point. But as it stands right now, there's literally nothing interesting to do in Free Roam. All we do is run around and shoot at people who don't have adversarial mode turned on and therefore can't die. Why can't we do gang hideouts together? Stop crimes Finch and Reese style (shout out to Person of Interest). Put two cars in each fixer mission that isn't a convoy. Make up a reason for ctOS centers to exist and be completable. Think it through, guys.

    -Basically, matchmaking for this mode is terrible. I should be able to join a decryption match with a team of 3 of my friends and not have to worry about being split up.
    -This mode is the biggest reason why the multiplayer needs to have a party system implemented. I know nothing about the systems that run multiplayer, but you guys need to buckle down and make a party system (a party app, even) that carries itself to any game mode. It should exist in single player, and if it does then that negates the need for the lobby system that doesn't exist. Let it be purely menu driven, I don't care. I need to be able to be in a party and see who's in my party at all times.

    General Issues

    -Every time the game tries to save information it seems like (after a crime is stopped, after a job is completed, after someone wins/loses a hack against you) our framerate stutters HARD for a few seconds, which can often get us killed. (This happens on Xbox One to me. No idea about PS4)
    -Train stations need to have a noticeable different icon when there is actually a train in the station. Too much crap is happening to try and look to actually see if there's a train up there.
    -Host migration in Free Roam and Decryption causes the framerate afterwards to tank until the game is restarted on Xbox One.

    Here you go. Here's your To Do list ubisoft. Do this, and this game will live for years.

    I couldn't agree more. I was so stoked for this game and so far I've been let down because Ubi has not made good on all their promises. It can still be fixed, crazier things have happened. Ubisoft, please don't let us all down.

    I agree completely.. i have a group of friends that were exited for decryption mode, and yet we havent been able to play together. Even in private match we cant pick the teams.. or even decide weather we want ffa or teams.. this multi is soooo bad.

    Ubisoft Get it together

    I agree with the aforementioned improvements to-do list. I do not think we are asking for much since the developer can charge us for a season pass worth of new content. They should be able to add this content free of charge to fix and improve the game to keep people playing it for the length of the season pass. Otherwise this game will be a lost cause and the huge line-up of games will eat this alive and it will be surely forgotten or remembered only as that game known as what not to do when it comes to multi-player. Harsh but true.

    Watch Dogs’ much needed Improvements
    First off I love the game but am highly disappointed with issues that should not exist since they have been solved since HALO 2 on the XBOX.
    1. Online Free Roam should have more to do and we should be able to join in online contracts from there. For instance join free roam and directly join into online decryption with friends. Or remain in online free roam and complete activities like AI crime stopping or capture the target or kill the target etc… Also I find it ridiculous to have to quit online free roam to join a new mode.
    2. ONLINE DECRYPTION SHOULD BE SPLIT INTO A FREE FOR ALL OPTION AND TEAM OPTION
    3. FRIEND LOBBY SHOULD BE AVAILABLE (HALO 2 HAD THIS, WHY ARE NEXT GEN GAMES GOING BACKWARDS)
    4. The ability to search for online games should be fluid and not a burden. The average wait time is quite long and this makes single player useless since you cannot do ANYTHING PRODUCTIVE; stores, digital trips, side missions, city games etc…
    5. COMBAT ROLL IS NEEDED FOR MULTIPLAYER TO DODGE CARS AND BOMBS
    6. More online game modes are needed for online success(SUCH AS 2V2 DECRYPT THE FILE) or defend the file

    Great Ideas

    @Evenesque
    I like the ideas you posted. Makes for some very important changes that need to be made.
    As much as the company talked about Multi-player they sure dropped the ball on a few things.
    I even have a petition up just because Intrusion mode should have been with friends also.

    I can still imagine me parking a taco truck just so my friends thinks I'm there while I'm hacking in......lol *sigh*
    We'll see how quickly Ubisoft works on some of our requests.......here is hoping.

    It's so busy that most posts are off the front page before anyone gets to have a good look at your topic. It will calm down in a few weeks after the initial "I want it now" fever dies down and some real community conversation should develop.

    Agree Wholeheartedly

    After becoming frustrated with the online side of things, within about half an hour last night, I have to say my first experience of trying to do 'organised' Multiplayer was not great.

    Some very good points/suggestions here. I hope you are listening Ubi

    This game isn't really designed to create clanned up 4v4's. Plus, at launch every MP game has this same issue with people saying the same thing, "I can't squad up with my friends easily".

    They'll cater to that crowd in short order. Day 2 might be pushing it though =)
