    VSync locks to 30 FPS

The same issues wat in AC 4. Solved it using D3DOverrider - had no lock to 30-60fps and no tearing effect. Now the same problem appears in Watch Dogs. Without VSync it runs mostly above 40 fps. When I turn on VSync it lock framerate to 30 fps even if in the same place without VSync I have 50+. D3DOverrider doesn't help. Did anyone find a solution which makes using VSync without locking to 30-60fps?

Sorry I don't have a solution, but I have the exact same problem as you. I used d3doverrider to fix this in ac4 but it doesn't seem to work in watch dogs.

Can you post your DxDiag and indicate which drive you are attempting to install the game (if you have multiple harddrives connected to your system)?

How to get your DxDiag: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to...g-information/

Once you have the file, go ahead and paste it here and provide the correlating link so we can review it.

    I'm using D3DOverrider in AC4 too, but it is a 32-bit game. Watch Dogs is 64-bit. I don't think D3DOverrider supports x64 binaries.

I have an nvidia card, and I set VSYNC = Adaptive from nvidia control panel. Now I'm averaging about 40-50 FPS in-game even if my VSYNC in the game is set to OFF, 1 or 2. I want to revert to FPS lock though, because the stuttering while driving is unbearable to me. I haven't tried disabling VSYNC again from nvidia control panel.

    Same Issue

I can't play Watch_Dogs yet (because of a crash), but Far Cry 3 had the same "drop 'n' lock" to 30 fps problem. I think Thief may have done it also.

Change V-Synch to 1 frame and Pre-rendered Frames to 1

D3DOverrider doesn't work, because this is a new engine.
    Ahh.. didn't know that one.

no, its because D3DOverrider doesnt support x64 processes. strange you are locked at 30 FPS, i have V-Sync enabled with 2 frames and it has no locks, game gives exactly as refresh rate which is 80 in my case:
