OFFICIAL - Watch Dogs crashes whenever I click play

I finished downloading my game, so as you do I went to play it. I pressed play on steam, it opened Uplay, but then on uplay, it launches the game, i see the little watch dogs thing, then it decides to close on me and says there was an error, sending report. I am really upset as to why this is happening, and completely lost on what could be causing this to happen. my specs: i7 3770K, 16GB ram, windows 8 (sadly) and a GTX 770 4GB GPU. If anyone knows the reason for this happening please help

    Thanks

I was told by someone to make sure my Nvidia was up to date as they released a new update yesterday, I have just done this and it hasn't helped me at all, still have the same issue :L

well if you want to get a little dirty maybe try and see if there is an error code relating to the time you ran the game in Windows Even Viewer.

START > Control Panel > (look for view by and select small icons) > Administrative Tools > Event viewer

in event viewer on the left, expand windows logs > Application > then look for an error in the logs around the time you tried to run the game.

I have tried it about 10 times, but this is the first error I had for it
Faulting application name: Watch_Dogs.exe, version: 0.1.0.1, time stamp: 0x537507a1
Faulting module name: dxgi.dll, version: 6.2.9200.16384, time stamp: 0x5010891d
    Exception code: 0xc0000409

All the other errors are the same to that one, just the Exception code has changed on them.

found this in a search ... seems that the issue with MSVCR80.dll is related to the C++.

try this link, it will tell you what you have to download... http://www.techsupportforum.com/foru...05-642633.html
