    ingame volume to low

    hey all

First of i don't know why i can play it but i can.
My volume ingame is to low is hard to hear anything, i have to max out my sound in windows and my speakers just have close to normal volume ingame.

i use my onboard sound with s/pdif optical to my logitech z-5500
i update my sound driver and try change my sound format to 24bit 9600hz and lower but did not help

    any help will be appreciated.

I have the same issue. I have to turn up my headphones to insane volume settings just to reasonably hear. Is this a game issue or a surround sound related issue possibly? I know some games such as Splinter Cell Blacklist don't support 7.1 surround sound and thus the channels will either have extremely low audio for some types or nothing.

I am using a ASUS Maximus Hero VI mobo (with its sound card) and hardware 7.1 surround sound headphones (Raizer Tiamat 7.1).

After testing some I can safely say this is not a surround sound support issue but an issue with the game. I have been testing 7.1, 5.1, and stereo and the audio level does not change between these options for any sound source tested.

Yep, same problem here even with standard USB audio device (Fiio E17) and onboard sound card (Realtek ALC892). Everything is really quiet, yet sometimes some sound effects come at the normal levels - which was a really "nice" surprise, one moment all the effects are very low & muffled and suddenly like hitting something with your car sounds like a nuclear bomb huh.

    edit: major typos..

I'm glad to see i'm not the only one who has this problem.

I am using a ASUS Rampage IV Extreme with onboard sound Realtek® ALC898 7.1-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC.
I have no problem with my headset Corsair Vengeance 2100 1.7

Same problem here. I'm using onboard sound and it's encredibly quiet. I have to practically mute all other sounds on my computer to be able to remotely get the balance right. Just pray nothing else "opens" in the audio manager, because then you'll get blown out of your seat by it at MAX volume. Please increase the audio levels.
