    [PC] iUserProfile's Tracks

So i've completed another track recently. It's called "Desert race" and features a custom scripted dynamic camera.

    List of Tracks:
Cold flow (Hard) - Trials - Rebuilding the arctic since 2082 ...
Desert race (Medium) - Trials - The desert, metaphor for entropy.

I just played your track and I think it is quite decent. Maybe the background feels kinda empty and medal times are questionable, because I beat your track with 0 faults and it only gave me bronze. In my opinion your track is not bad, but it doesn't really stands out from the crowd. Good luck in the future

Thanks. It's not a lot abot the fault, more so about the speed. It's not that hard to pass the track without fault, much more to get the perfect line to earn a medal.

Liked your track man. Solid driving line, wich is rare in TC If you improve some small things I'm sure your tracks will imrove alot! So yeah, looking forward to the next one!

    some feedback...

    • Theme was ok, could have been a bit better with more depth (most of the objects where mostly on the driving line, not really anything in the medium/far background)

    • Details on dl was ok, but the track felt a bit empty in terms of sound/animations. Like a working machine in the background, maybe some more sounds (like steam, the machine) along the way would have made the track alot more alive. Maybe also adding the wind effect, a bit more fog would have made the wind stand out more

    • I don't agree with what you say about the medal times. The time is not hard for YOU to pass without faults, but (I assume) you are not releasing the track for yourself...If you look at the SP tracks you will never find a track that gives you bronze when you have 0 faults. Not even a beginner track. The best way to set the medals is to look at the SP tracks imo. You can stray away a bit from the number of faults, like if the track is alot easier, but I wouldn't do that too much. If you look at the leaderboard of your track you see there are alot of people with +0 faults. I would have maybe set the faults to something like 0/3/8/20 . Getting bronze on a decent run is not really satisfying even if the track is "easy".

    • Locked bikes: I would have locked the baggy (shouldn't really be used in a hard track imo even if it's possible). Maybe even locked the roach/foxbat too. Don't really see the use of the foxbat outside fmx tracks, and the roach makes it just a harder track than it is and the chance is high newer players will pick that bike if they see it unlocked (there is a guy that picked the roach and has 60 faults on the track)

Nice track. I like the driving line, fun and fast. The uphill part with the pipes seemed to glitch the tires sometimes, make sure to avoid this(or minimize, tire glitches happens sometimes randomly in this game)
Track looked nice too, could do with some more background etc... what bassline said. Keep it up, I love these kind of drivinglines.

Thanks. True, that pipes are kind of glitchy. I added custom collisions where ever i encountered bugs. But thoose pipes seem to be pretty messed up. Sometimes you can go in a straight leveld line over them and suddenly it will pull your front tire for no reason. I think i won't use them again.
As for the background thing. Yeah there could be more but I wanted a clean and emty horizon. It fits the atmosphere better than a random cluttered background. Same goes for random machines, flying thingies and explosions. It nice to show off with theese things but not every time. It is ... it was the arctic - there's a reason it's emty and mostly water. There's a reason why the lighting is warmer and not cold and icy. There's a reason why there is no snow particle effect and no cold wind blowing all over the place.
I've done more insane things in evo, like the construct x, quantummechanics, supraconductor and juggernaut. Kind of been there, done that. I've grown more to understand how much effort you have to put into a driving line and for now that's my priority. Second is that I will go for a more plain yet moody look in my tracks. I have still a lot to learn a lot about light. Some exiting thing about cold flow is that I put custom reflections on some solar pannels - that's one thing i'm realy proud off as unspectacular it may sound to you ^^.
About the medal times. I will keep that more in mind next time. Tone down the silver medal a little and such.
The Bikes will be free to use as I see fit. Part of the deal in mastering a track ist to mange to find out which bike would be the best, another part is free choice. If somebody enjoys an extra challange why shouldn't they choose the baggie for a ride. I like to do that if i enjoy a track, even if it's just to have a slow crusie through beautiful scenery.

I'm proudly announcing "Desert race". A track that I once started on evolution with a custom scripted camera that emphasized a sense of speed as it's low to the ground. I finally came around to realize this idea in fusion. It's a medium diffculty track, but to get the perfect line it takes some skill and good timed speed hopping, otherwise the journy will end up alittle bouncy i guess. Have fun.

Really liked Desert Race. I can tell there was time, thought and effort put into this track. Thanks for the great track!
