i cannot express the level of annoyance i feel.
i bought this game purely for the editor. i have published tracks, one of which has 10,000+ downloads and made it into the top rated section. spent over 150hrs on the game (last time i looked) and watched/contributed to every twitch steam for it to freeze to dash once again during editing. relaunched the game for it to tell me there was an error recovering the save data and i now have no tracks, medals, bikes etc!!!! its as if i haven't played it before. i have been forced to save my track ever few min as regardless of what track i am working on it WILL crash with no pattern that i am aware of as i am doing/trying out something different all the time, seemed this issue was caused as it crashed while saving.. i am aware the crash on editing is a known issue and hoped a fix would be out soon. too late!!! i am tempted now to ask Microsoft to refund me (i'm very persistent)
i had almost finished a better (in my opinion) version of the classic Rainbow Road from EVO and i was soooo proud of its progress and the things i have learnt/mastered along the way.
the only thing that has saved are my track times and the tracks i favorited on track central. i cant play them yet as i need to unlock the bikes! even my online ranking has been reset.
all that time wasted!!!
WELCOME TO THE FUTURE!!!!

I apologize to hear that this has happened. Sadly, we are unable to restore any sort of data. The save data is stored either the console or cloud sync. I would strongly suggest contacting Microsoft directly regarding locating or recovering any save files. I apologize for this again. If you would like to do so, please provide as much information as possible in a ticket to Support. This will allow us to investigate and report this to the proper team. In the meantime, I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the game to see if the crashing issue continues. You may contact the Support team with the links in my signature below.
i have contacted Microsoft and they are puzzled by your suggestion to contact them as they have no way of looking at or recovering saved data either stored locally or on the cloud. i have already filled a support ticket with ubisoft and and in the middle of the 4 day response time and advised the issue has been passed to devs. however, this is no help to me. the game now shows i have played a total of 8min and as you can see on my profile what achievements i will have unlocked and my track times are stored on the ubi server. this should be sufficient proof of my distress i cannot of done all that in 8min never mind the tracks i have published and lost. can i be compensated with a season pass by way of an apology?Originally Posted by Volfbane Go to original post
Are your saved games being stored to the Xbox's hard drive? I am not familiar with how the One stores data but I would assume it at least gives the option to select a storage device? MS is a suggestion because it is either their hardware or their Cloud service, and Un-delete programs could be used, as long as the storage space containing the files hasn't been written over by new files.
Can you record some footage of your game including signed-in Gamertag to validate your dilemma? I hear you can easily upload video from the One, if not with a phone. With a serious problem like this you should provide all the information you can, in case the One kills another gamers' profile and data. It can also been seen as suspicious if you cannot prove anything, yet are asking for free content, know what I mean?
For example, Does the game show your short amount of time played if viewed by another player?
Again, dunno about the XBone, but in Evo when you published a track it stayed on their server. If you delete the map from your storage, you can still download it from the server and, because your name is on it, open the track into the editor.
Otherwise, good luck with your 'persistence'. All content on the Live service states "There are no refunds for this item", and seeing as both the game and One came out recently, and each's problems have been B*tched about plenty, the chances of any sort of refunds are quite slim.
