Pretty much sick of this game already!

I know that this is either going to get deleted or ignored but I need to get some things off my chest. These are things that come to mind while not on the game, I'm sure this post would be a hell of a lot longer if I was playing right now.

I played trials evolution pretty much everyday until fusion came out. It had many problems and annoyances but all round it was a better game even from launch. The game was realistic to a certain extent (objects etc) and that's what appealed to me the most. Once the single player tracks got less interesting, track central was always there and with the DLC the game became a lot more polished and gave a lot more tracks to compete on along with editor objects and pointless bikes.

For me fusion has barely any of what appealed to me in evolution. There is no realistic feel when nearly everything is made out of shiny plastic or metal and feels like you're riding on glass. Everything is so far in the future the bikes might as well hover off the ground (might reduce tyre glitch lol.) I guess I'm slightly biased though as I don't like future/sci-fi stuff.

(My main reason for posting and why I turned fusion off after 20 minutes of playing today)

The single player tracks in fusion all have frustrating first checkpoints despite the constant petitioning for no more pointless 1st checkpoints we all had in evo, even one of your junior developers made a thread about it (before they were a developer) i can't find it due to the forum merge though. Even a speed run mode/ability to turn checkpoints off would do. (which has also been requested many times)
The tracks are also plagued with tyre glitches to the point where my bike has stopped dead many times and the challenges where you don't lean or full throttle really highlight this issue. Also the majority of obstacles don't work the same every time you ride it, in evo if you messed up 99% of the time it was your fault, in fusion for me its about 50% is my fault.

I had a real connection with my phoenix, I was madly in love (no lie i would have sexed it if i could), it was unique and stayed exactly the same since day one.
We all know customisation is limited now so we all look pretty much the same pointless robot clones.
The pit-viper is an ok bike but I don't trust it like the phoenix, I have read that apparently the back wheel has more grip but to me it seems the opposite, no longer can I land on my back wheel and lean forward to power on through flat surfaces, jumping from platform to platform is inconsistent now, the way the forks get stuck on obstacles and the way the wheels sink into the ground is so annoying and game breaking for me.

I have no complaints about the roach it is all round better than the scorpion (which I hated!) and doesn't suffer from the tyre glitch as often. Obviously it would be nice to be able to make it look unique though. Also the baggie is better than the rattler and piranha put together and the rabbit is ok i guess.

The quad in my opinion is completely a piece of s**t and is as pointless as pointless gets and will get neglected by me like the banshee did in evo regardless of how much score it gives me globally. I seem to remember a newcomer (the only post i ever saw from them) asking for a quad in the hundreds of pages of evo suggestions (which has vanished) yet the only thing I can see the loyal fans got that they asked for was dead trees (if you can class what we have as dead trees.)

On Evo I was on track central from day 1 up to fusions release, I must have played many thousands of tracks. On fusion, track central is a disgrace and I can count on one hand the amount of tracks I have played and if its kept the way it is i won't be playing much more. Chances are due to being linked to ubi servers the majority of the 21 pages we currently have for suggestions on TC will get ignored as did evo suggestions.

The editor objects and base world in fusion make it hard to be creative, everything is taken into the future no matter how hard you try not to which is making most tracks look stupidly similar (even single player tracks) and there's nowhere to build that doesn't have water or other things that you can't get rid of without terrain mods (which eat complexity.) Another thing that was asked for so many times was a clean slate world or even a HD warehouse but we got the opposite, fusions world is full of hills, buildings and all the stuff that gets in the way.
I would get lost for hours in the evo editor sometimes spending unhealthy amount of time, from the moment I wake to looking at the time and it being 4am and way past time to go to sleep. Don't get me wrong I am making a track but the addiction isn't there and I have no enthusiasm to finish it any time soon. (especially with TC the way it is and the amount of console freezes I get in the editor.)

FMX is better than I expected it to be but most of the time i cant even get it to register I'm doing a trick and it got boring/annoying fast. Also I thought FMX would be about tricks but the amount of slowing down involved on the FMX tracks was the nail in the coffin (probably the wrong phrase to use in this situation.) I'm not even going to bother mentioning using the coffin for distance or whatever the other one is that makes you throw yourself magically down from the air defying gravity. (ruler maybe )

To me all of this stuff is important, this game seems like a step forward in time but a step backwards in so many of the core fundamentals of trials. It feels like it has been barely tested and I have no idea who would think that this was a worthy successor to evo. Do you allow your developers to have an opinion? If you do it seems you have hired long time fans of the game and franchise and they have helped destroy it. In the first day people were exploiting, getting tyre glitches and getting freezes you had the game for months and didn't notice anything! This is £6 more than evo with less content, less fun and the game is all round less complete. Depending on how the time up to the 1st DLC goes depends on if I get the DLC or not. If they decide to wait until the 1st DLC to patch the game I'm gone! I'm not paying another £16 to a company that cares more about the money than their own product they are selling!

    Some less important things:

    When offline
    No single player session times.
Constantly asks you to connect to ubi servers after every track.
No completion time in local super cross, I always had fun with my friends seeing how close each race was time wise.
    No bike stats.
No previous colours when modifying your bike.

    When online
You have to quit the track to watch a replay.
On custom tracks you have to quit the track for the ghost you just beat to go.

    Editor
    No previous colours option.
No ability to fine tune object angles/position.
Some things have no advanced properties so can't be made deco only or change restitution.
You have to wait for the countdown when testing your track (you could press LB before and the countdown would stop and allow you to play the track)

Well thought out and written post.

I have grown bored of Fusion on the 360, yet getting a PS4 today and have a hard copy of Fusion still in plastic wrapping on my shelf. I will give it a go but as with the 360, I will see myself not plaing much on the PS4 so that I can play Evo on the 360.

Some valid points you raised. I agree with most of what you've said although I for the most part have enjoyed Fusion, but I only got it this weekend and am 98% complete, I feel the longevity of this game wont be the same as for Evo, even though there are loads of promised DLCs.
Track Central is terrible. Bland Ubi UI with limited functionality. Not being able to download tracks to my harddrive is ridiculous. I hate the fact that if internet drops out or Ubi servers go off we cant play any tracks.
Overall I feel that this game doesn't tie in with the others very well, it feels very cartoony when Evo and HD had a bit of a gritty real feel.
Yesterday I discovered that if you play offline you cant see any of the times that you set and it doesn't save any times! This game is all about setting times! its Trials, So unless your connect to the ubi servers this game is pretty much useless, whats the point of running tracks if you have no idea what times your getting. very frustrating.
And I also don't like that fact that the FMX is lumped in with the trials tracks, meaning that I wont ever platinum the categories due to having no interest in the FMX. Why wasn't it in a separate categories like the skill games were in Evo? so if you don't like them you don't have to touch them. Baffling.

Plus points: New editor tiles, like object pointers and extracting functions and the layer system is good. I really like the challenges (apart from the FMX and spin ones), they add a bit of incentive to investigate all the tracks. The track design from about the mid-mediums up is good. Quite like the Viper and roach (not the quad bike, why a whole category for it?)

Trials Fusion is a GAME. Not very important and very cheap compared to what you get.

Some People though, must be seen. No reason for posting, but pls notice me! And sorry People, but I need to get some things off my chest. I have some issues With my toes on my left foot and if I was fiddling With my toes right now, this post would have been longer.

A very well written post. I totally agree with the majority of what you say and I too share your frustrations and disappointment in how many aspects of this game turned out or function.

This too is the game breaker for me.

@TJUKKEMY - What is wrong with you? Are you missing a few chromosomes? I'm not sure you should be allowed anywhere near this forum with that attitude. You are a scrotum.

I agree with you H3X, all the same reasons I haven't touched this game in weeks.

I don't see how they could go so far backwards from Evo. Here you have a perfect game, everything we ever wanted from a Trials HD sequel was realised in Evo. It was perfect in my eyes. Yet it seems like RL started from scratch with Fusion instead of building on top of Evo, all the while forgetting everything that made Evo so great.

Are we sure Anba was even responsible for this game, I'd feel better believing a Ubi suit sat in the RL office throwing ideas to the dev team and telling them they had no choice but to kill off the core fanbase. Next time I put Trials on I'll be going back to Evo. Until next year, when all these DLC packs have been released I might check back in to see how it's going, and if they've fixed Fusion.

I made a thread recently asking why people thought they should play this game over Evo, the only decent response I got was that TC will be dead. And yet Morillo has provided us with endless amounts of awesome tracks I can search for and have plenty of fun with. Thanks man.
