Thankfully: because if they did make a difference and there wasn't a level playing field in Trials then this game would be completely over for most of us. The attraction is that it is rider skill not upgrades that set us apart from each other, and set Trials apart from any mainstream racing game.
Change this and you've broken the game imo.

The game is alredy broken!!! And... how the hell can Ubi/RL be that sure about that?? they also said that tricks won´t affect gameplay... hehe

Ubi/RL are releasing unfinished games and we are paying to be testers... disgusting!!

I prefer the Roach over the Pit Viper, also I hope customisation does get better again over time.
