So...why did customisation get a downgrade?

In Trials HD, you could change colours only if I remember right, which was ok, but in Evo you could change individual parts of a bike and set colour individually too. Likewise the rider had a lot more options in Evo, which made replays a touch more interesting to view.

Just wondering why Fusion has such downgraded customisation in terms of detail, and content.

It's because Redlynx has downgraded themselves. It's clearly shown in Fusion.

I believe thay redlynx was really pressed for time. With the release date set by ubi rapidly approaching, they had to cut a lot of corners to get the game out in time. They had the mentality that they can patch in everything later... The same mentality that is ruining the game industry as a whole right now.

I wholeheartedly believe Fusion will be where it needs to be eventually... Hopefully it wont be too late.

Yea that's one thing I noticed about the game, the cutomizations wasn't as robust. Like when i upgrade a certain bike, I don't know if in fact it is a better bike or not, I am assuming that it is since they have different levels of upgrade but it'll be nice to see what the rating is as far as acceleration, handling, ect.. The same go for the outfits...do they improve your skills? I dunno. If i am driving with a clown mask on, will i be better at doing tricks? I dunno.

Customization options are for visual differences only. A tier 1 bike kit and a tier 3 bike kit make no impact on the stats for the bike. Costumes/Outfits only offer visual changes to the rider. A clown mask will not get you more points in FMX.

    I don´t think Outfits make a difference

but as already discussed here(http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...ender-Question!!!!) I do think bike Upgrades make a difference not in Terms of Speed or Handling but in Size!

    edit:
aaahhh already answered from shiftysamurai! too fast^^

@ shifty: is there a difference in bike upgrades? like the HUE-upgrade on the Roach(the one you unlock through uplay) seems to have less space to the ground!! thx

I don't think it would, Trials is all about fairness in that regard. (Unless you're playing on an ipad/iphone, for some reason it has all the crappy f2p/pay to win mechanics everyone hates.)
That was something I forgot about too, previous games gave bike stats which in turn made it obvious the Scorpion was faster than the phoenix on less technical tracks.
