Fusion is the 'Halo: Reach' of the Trials series. The start to the downfall. The failed attempt to appeal to a mass audience, and thus, the alienation of the core fan base. At least Reach was a finished game.

So the question is: Will the next entry to the series be what this game should have been, or will it be Halo 4?
A little hard on Reach there I think, It pales to its predecessors, but I agree with the comparison.
I agree completely about H4 though god awful.

I just wish we could have both LOCAL management AND favourites of more than 1000 tracks.

It baffles me that nobody thought we would want more than 52 tracks 'saved'? Mind you it baffles/saddens me nobody thought to allow us to manage our own tracks 'collection'.
It seems they gave us favourites to 'replace' local management, but then made a mess of that.

It would be great for a dev to comment on
    i) fixing favourites to, say, 1000 tracks or more, but WAY more importantly,
    ii) LOCAL management of tracks.

I am not sure how mulitplayer will work if you never download tracks, will you have to wait every track for access to Ubi servers?
Also, Friends Creations is limited to 52, well that is nearly full for me too - over 100 friends, all from Trials, many track builders...
All the feeds have the same limit of 52, 13 rows of 4.

For me this new development is another HUGE blow for those of us who loved collecting great tracks. We lose the ability to download, now we can only 'collect' 52 tracks.
I am so proud of my USB sticks of nearly 2000 Evo tracks. Plug them in whenever and play some amazing creations. Seems they never intended to let us do this, which for me will kill the longevity of Fusion completely.

Hope for a change in a patch? Maybe to favourites, this must have been an oversight, to local management I highly doubt as this was a clear design decision from the outset, and a poor one in many peoples' opinion looking at the forums...

I am very deflated right now and find it hard to turn the game on. I know where you are coming from Max.

At this stage I would even pay my own air fair to Finland if I was invited to help fix TC...no joke.

UPDATE: Shifty has posted saying this limit WILL be removed, and feeds will contain "near limitless" numbers of tracks: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...for-Devs/page7

    ______________________

Great news, BUT the massive issue of local management of tracks still remains.
I would imagine the whole forum would like control over the customs they play, being able to download and delete at will, and NOT being reliant on Ubi servers to play any customs.

We await comment on this issue, but appreciate the speed with which you guys posted an intent to deal with the 52 limit. Thanks.

To my mind there are 3 BIG issues against the current 'online only/Ubi servers' setup of TC:

    Ubi Server/Online only issues:

    i) you unfavourite a track and lose it into the aether of TC, or

ii) Ubi take tracks down or tracks get reported/removed beyond your control, your collection of your favourite tracks simply isn't your own anymore a la YouTube where uploaders can remove anything at will and unless you download the videos you have no control. HDD space is not at a premium with track downloads anyway; or

iii) you lose internet or Ubi servers go down and you cannot play ANY customs, let alone download new ones.

ah, thanks man, forgot I tweaked my settings.

There still remains the issue of organising favourites of course.
In Evo we were able to sort by creator, date, track name etc, but in the favourites we have now you cannot sort...imagine having hundreds of tracks in there...!

im happy the response was so fast regarding this 52-limit you discovered,
hopefully the update/patch will be a day of joy with many more issues fixed.

The silver lining here is that if you've got more than 52 tracks favorited, the game remembers all of them even though it only displays the latest 52. So at least we don't have to worry about lost favorites.

Track Central in its current form is an unorganized mess. It really baffles my mind as to how RedLynx thought it was good to go when it lacked so many features that were found in Evo. I'm reluctant to start building another track until they make TC worthwhile.
