One simple rating system addition that could really add depth to Track Central

Builders get to tag their tracks to signal to players what kind of track they'd be playing. I think it would be best to have some sort of similar functionality where a player can tag a track they've played to signal to the builder why they've liked/disliked a track. Feedback is very good for a builder, especially new ones, and currently the only way to get in-depth feedback is to create a Track thread on here. It doesn't have to be a complicated system, just something as simple as the current like/dislike prompt would do.

    My proposed implementation

Currently the user is prompted to choose like/dislike once they've finished a track. What if you added one more prompt after that with something like:
    If:
The player likes the track, then ask - "What is good about this track?"
    Else If:
The player dislikes the track, then ask - "What is bad about this track?"
    Else:
A player who chooses to skip rating the track can just skip the whole thing
(Sidenote: You should really consider changing the skip button from [A]. It is easy to just keep pressing [A] after finishing a track and completely miss the rating prompt. I've done it several times myself!)

In both scenarios, give the player a set of tags from which to further explain their choice of rating. This would keep it simple. Players should be able to choose by pressing one button only, just like the previous like/dislike screen. So maybe have [LT | LB | RT | RB] each represent one of the choosable options, namely [ "Driving Line" | "Scenery" | "Difficulty Rating" | "Checkpoint Placement" ]. I'm only brainstorming tags here so anyone feel free to chip in on tag ideas.

    What i'm aiming for
-A player completes a track, lets call it "Inferno Remake"
-They press A to bring up like/dislike prompt
    -Press LT/RT to either like/dislike
-Tag selection prompt is brought up
-Press LT/LB/RT/RB to choose a representative tag
-Player is then taken to the track completed page with XP, medals, etc etc

Back in Track Central, another payer sees "Inferno Remake" in the feeds
-Player presses X to see further details
-In addition to the likes/dislike/downloads stats, the player is able to see likes/dislikes ratios for each of the tags. So if "Inferno Remake" has say 0 likes/40 dislikes for the difficulty rating, the user will know something is up with that. With the track downloads/likes/dislikes stats just above, all this information will be IN context.

Yet another player does a custom search in track central
-The player then sorts the search by "Scenery", hence bringing the tracks with the best scenery ratings upfront.

In conclusion, I hope i'm not the only one who sees value in something like this. I think it adds a lot of value without adding a lot of complexity to the rating system. The tag ideas could be better refined but you get the general idea. Let me know what you think.

You have some good ideas, and I have already added a similar request to my Track Central request thread: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/870304

Biggest issue is people not even rating tracks they play, let alone spending time to make other considerations.
Second biggest issue, there are so many fixes/changes needed in TC that this addition would be way down RL priority list.

Summary: nice idea, but I don't think either RL or your typical TC player has time for it. Sad, I know, as this would certainly improve the TC experience so good on you for that.

Yes I would agree this is probably (rightly!) not high up there on the to-do list. Figured I might as well put it out there as soon as possible and maybe if enough people talk about it it might eventually end up on a patch note, someday
