Why aren't best track times you've gotten when uplay is off synced to the leaderboard the next time you connect to uplay?

This has been something redlynx have always done just to prevent cheating. For example they might have fixed a glitch where you can finish in 2 secs and then send out an update to correct it. If you are offline the the leaderboards cannot check if the update is active and so will not upload your time to the active leaderboard.
