1. This is way harder to test than the FMX tricks shown in the video. Plus: So many users stated their concerns about it. Normally you should have double checked to be sure. Anyway...Originally Posted by sebastianaalton Go to original post
2. Am I overseeing something here?! According to Newton energy can't get lost - it is just transformed in another form of energy. This said the energy coming from the spinning backwheel have to go somewhere when it stops spinning. And it seems plausible that it tansfers over to the whole bike. Or am I wrong?!
Fl4m3rX knows what I mean.Originally Posted by Fl4m3rX Go to original postWhile it may be true, the Pit Viper can stick to steep inclines better, the grip I meant is about how the rear wheel interacts with the surfaces. On a hard landing it feels almost impossible to maintain the grip of the wheels and propel yourself using the inertia. In fact, it's not only on a hard landing, a simple example of this is just trying to get a high or long distance bunny hop from a stationary position. The rear wheel just doesn't hold the ground like it used to.
I appreciate Sebbbi frequenting the forums and giving his input where he can, it's good to see a dev around. I just feel guilty when I make him defend the game. It's not a bad game, not at all, you just set the bar so God **** high with Trials Evo! It was inevitable the hardcore were going to pick holes in the sequel.
Sebbbi that bug from HD you're referring to..the 'fap' technique actually works to some degree in real life and is utilized by MX riders. Somebody posted a video up on the old forum about it and I think 90% of us were shocked your physics simulation so closely resembles reality...intended or not lol.
The technique works whilst airborne. You can tap the rear brake once to rotate the bike forwards. But seb is saying that the braking force was more powerful than acceleration causing a gain in momentum that is impossible in real life.Originally Posted by JoeRegular Go to original post
In regards to trick runs, I think top 50 should be fine since the game is in the beginning stages. Anyone around there will still be improving their times. With help from the community it won't take too much work.
Exactly how i feel about the bike. Its almost an obstacle in itself just to handle a very simple landing without losing any speed whatsoever.Originally Posted by xMotionSickness Go to original post
One other thing ive noticed, on Evo- you could hold throttle the whole run, as long as you handled the bike good, you wouldnt lose speed. But on Fusion, if you let go of throttle in mid-air and gas it just as you land, the bike handles better/glitches less often.
