Perhaps with all the DLC it will be better, but even that still feels below expectation.
Take for instance TC, everybody is saying "but Evo TC was a mess when it first came out, give it time." It's not a different team making Fusion here, it's the same team. Surely they learnt from past experience. I was expecting everything Evo had +a whole lot more. This game has removed half the good features from Evo and we have a lot, lot, lot less content than would be expected in the shipped game. Where's the logic there? Or are they saving it all for DLC so they can cash in??? Sounds like Ubi logic to me.
Sorry RedLynx, I love you but you remind me of Activision. Call of Duty is hands down an awesome FPS, everything about it is just awesome. But now we're in the like 12th instalment of the series it's so "been there, done that." No matter how good it is, it will never have the status it deserves to have because they just keep reiterating the same thing in different ways and putting a product out every year. It lost its magic along the way, even though it's way better than COD4 ever was, I'd rather play COD4 over Ghosts because COD4 still has its charm. If Ubi are going to milk the Trials series into releasing a title every year or two and adding umpteen DLC packages every two months, then I really can't be bothered. I'd rather just move on with my life and remember Trials for the great game it used to be... much like I have with Call of Duty!

It's not bad-it still retains the Trials ethos, albeit with issues-which discourage me from speedrunning, or even going for Plat runs on the main game, which is a shame.I would have voted average (which pains me) but there isn't the option.
Improvements to TC would go a long way for me. At the moment you're fine if you want to create Blade Runner, Halo or Mass Effect maps. Anything else would probably be a real effort to produce. Kudos to the builders for doing their best with what they presently have at their disposal.
Didn't even mention FMX-doesn't matter though, the thousands of newcomers to the series will lap it up. Oops, it slipped out, sorry.
My Uncle, who has always been on Playstation, has seen me play HD and Evo on numerous occasions. He now has Fusion and thinks it's the best Trials game ever. He's wrong. It may look prettier (some versions), but it's a shadow of it's former self.
Granted, I'm playing the 360 version, but a nicer lick of paint and better depth of field will not disguise the deficiencies.
Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I live in hope, and will still be playing the game for a long time.
Voted excellent as I like it much more then Evo Gold on PC, in terms of pure gameplay/editor.
I am optimistic on the DLC Packs and the Free Content Updates, and fixes.
And the PC version especially can grow without hardware limits, the complexity bar is far bigger then evo, and there are Ultra settings as well as higher resolutions for future hardware.
i see a lot of people saying the game will be better when they fix stuff and add more variety etc etc etc and i totally agreeOriginally Posted by Claudia Go to original post
but it think in another 2-3 years when they release the next trials game, i think that new trials game will really be the epitome of the franchise. As im sure we've all read, it was a big undertaking for redlynx to get fusion out on 4 platforms and two of those are next generation. I think all they have learned with fusions "hiccups" will help them release a better trials next time.
as for me, i bought fusion the second it came onto xbl, (like 5:30/6am) and immediately bought the season pass, so obviously i hope the DLCs will be rocking!
Got an excellent from me.
I am new to the franchise. First I got Fusion on X1, a few days later I went for Evo on PC, and today added Fusion on PC (curiosity buy).
There seem to be a lot of seasoned players praising Evo and more or less bashing Fusion, but as a new player I like Fusion a lot better.
The bikes feel better to me (more predictable, good thing for a physics sim imo), and I like the whole design package from graphics to music.
The slow incline in difficulty works great for a noob, very well done. Of course that`s a bit boring for veterans, but they get hard tracks later plus user created ones.
Cut short, I am all happy with the game, just give me more of it.![]()
I placed like 1600 objects in a track and it's not saying max physics objects yet and like only 20% complexity, the true limits of top-end hardware must be enormous for PC at least compared to evo, my machine is 4 years old (top end when new).
Can't wait to see the DLC objects/updates.
Once they fix the major bugs and TC, I will likely be playing this for a long while.

The game for me is disappointing for me but I guess if you are completely new to trials it will be great.
I look at it like this - If someone has never seen a tv before, they will be extremely happy to have a black and white tv
- If you have had a LED tv and then get given a black and white tv, you would be disappointed.
