After completing the game, I downloaded and installed the Golem's Plight DLC.
When I started the game back up I received the message saying the DLC had been installed, and the oculi included in the DLC showed up in my inventory as expected, but the Golem's Plight quest itself is nowhere to be found. Ubisoft Support has a pic showing the starting point of the quest and I've seen videos of people starting and completing it, so I know exactly where the quest-giver/starting point is supposed to be, but it's simply not there in my game.
I'm guessing this has something to do with the fact that I'd completed the game before installing the DLC, but the only way for me to test that is to start over and that doesn't particularly interest me.
I've tried reinstalling the DLC with no luck and I've already submitted a question to Ubisoft Support.
Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with the DLC and, if so, if they were able to come up with a solution.
I had the same issue purchasing Golem's Plight with a completed game, before starting NewGame+. As far as I can tell there's no way to get him to show up, but I did start a NewGame+ and he was there when I got back to the Tree of Thorns, so at least you don't have to wipe your savedata and start completely from scratch to get him.
Golem does start at level 12 still, while my party was in the high 50's/low 60's. The XP is flat values though, so he catches up quickly (fighting the giant stick-bird thing at the top of the tree of thorns took him from level 12 to 24, for example, and I forgot to equip a diamond beforehand).
After a few exchanges with Support, I was told:
'If you have completed all of the game quests then the Golem's Plight quest will not be available, and you will need to start a new game. Please try moving on to New Game+ and see if the content appears there.'
I haven't started New Game+, and I'm not sure I ever will, but it's nice to have confirmation that the Golem quest will be there if I do, Grumbu.
omeromeriko, you might want to submit a question of your own to Support since you seem to be experiencing a slightly different issue with the DLC.
Kind of glad to know this problem isn't unique to me, it does seem the support team have been a little more informative with some of you then they have been with me.
My responses have just been that the dev team are looking into it and that I should check the forum for when a response appears. I even tried starting a new save today and judging by the fact the dark Aurora dress was not added I can be fairly safe to assume had I played through to the section where the Golem is added he still wouldn't be there.
I too would love to hear any more information if any of you get some answers.
EDIT:
In case like me you are not aware a steam copy of the game can only use steam DLC, I had a pre order of the game on steam and then later having almost finished the game found out about the deluxe edition. So I added my 'UPlay DLC' to a 'Steam Child of Light' and though this DLC appears to be added looking in the Uplay menu it will not load into the game. I just purchased the Steam DLC and it has now been added to my game and save.
I'm pretty cross that this is not made really clear to people especially considering the game still runs through Uplay if you have it on Steam making it seem like there is no difference as to how you purchased the game. I am also upset by the lack of support by the support team basically just telling me to wait all the time and not suggesting anything as being the potential problem or giving me any helpful information.
