Just lost my save...AGAIN (blue screen)

Twice now I have lost all my progress, and both times it happened when I got a bluescreen error. What is going on? The game plays fine for many hours on many days, and then a bluescreen and I lose everything. How can I get it back, because honestly I'm getting a bit frustrated.

    Hello,

    A few questions:

    - At which moment of the game did you get those bluescreens?
    - Do you play on several PCs or only one?
    - Do you have Cloud Save Synchronization enabled in Uplay?

    Thank you,

The first time was when selecting a track in career mode with Cloud Sync on.
The second time was at the initial splash screen when the menu music comes on right as I entered the game with no cloud sync. After the second time not only did I lose my save, I lost my uPlay log in information as well.

I don't know what MotionJoy is, so I doubt I am using it.

Where is my local save game stored so I can write a script to continuously back it up as I play? Why does the game not keep a backup every time you save?
    Thank you.

Blue screens are most often caused by hardware or driver problems. Do you have the latest graphics card drivers installed? Is you CPU or GPU overclocked? Have you dusted your case recently (dust gets easily to cooling fans and heat sinks rising the temperature inside the computer)? My wife's laptop recently had blue screen issues. I used air spray to blow out all the dust and now it works flawlessly.

When a bluescreen occurs, any data that is currently in hard drive caches might get lost of corrupted. We can't prevent that, but we could save a back up, or investigate how we could save/load the game progress in a way that handles the potential bluescreen situation better.
