Did you play Spelunky? I found that quite hard, very old school tooOriginally Posted by apdenton1 Go to original post
F.A.O .. Defected
Mate.. that's why I capped the ONLY part of that question...
With music you are always adapting and learning... anyone can bang out a song... but is it a tune?, is it memorable, is it classic in the making? ..does anyone else actually want to listen to it?
Trials is similar.. any one can bang out a 50 fault extreme run (I still do) but in order to pull off the exceptional runs... you have to work at it
If you can write a hit tune in 5mins then you are the exception to the rule mate ..just as, if you can best a trials game in "mere hours".. then you are the exception not the norm

Well some can hate and keep on. Some hate and reject it. This game made me write one of the darkest trance tunes I made in years. So pissed off at it I wrote a dark song that sounded evil, with a cyber punk twist. Playing back music I wrote tells me how happy or angry I am.Originally Posted by Meenie77 Go to original post

Dunno, the physics simulates kicking footballs about rather realistically in my FPS skill game I'm working on.Originally Posted by IDefectedI Go to original post
Something about the pit viper puts me off, the way the back wheel leaves the ground so easily, but I cannot say if that is just me failing to handle it properly or whether it's realistic suspension/physics, but you just adapt. Other than that anyway the physics are pretty solid. Well collision detection is a bit iffy too but it's not a huge issue for riding.
I'm not sure what problems you have with the physics, when riding it is fine.
Yeah I've heard about SMB. May give it a try, although I'm not a HUGE fan of simple to play, hard to master. I like hard to play, hard to masterOriginally Posted by FR_Dam143 Go to original postThing is I'm not even a huge fan of Trials gameplay, It's a good, solid game but I'm here for the editor primarily. I get bored of riding after a couplw hours each time, but those hours are always fun.
Heard of it but not looked into it. Will do.Did you play Spelunky? I found that quite hard, very old school too
Thats because we both know how great this game is, and we don't need the game to be any easier than it already has become.Originally Posted by IDefectedI Go to original post
Inspired by this amazing thread I thought giving this challenge a go wit the Baggie, and I have to say the bike being so **** and slow and ****, I found it kinda perfect for this challenge. Took me like 5 minutes. I'm sure it took me way more on the Viper when I originally managed it. With baggie being so slow at everything, it's hard to overdo anything which can be a problem with the more agile/powerful bikes.
Did it on GT:raaargh707 on xbox360, if anyone is interested and has like 15 minutes to scroll down the leaderboards to rank of about 80000 :P Time was 00:59.733
Well its late and stoned. Loving 'Child of light'. Truly one of the best for relaxing.
Asked some of my friends what they think of Trails (1 out of 10). Most gave it 5s 6s and some 7s. Funny part is they just stopped playing it since last week. I asked why, and they responded by saying "Rather play another game". Developers making a game for rage or frustration will not bring back sales for future DLC. Sure they will have a nice fan base, but 1000s will just move on.
Demanding gamers full commitment for one game, will not happen in this day and age. People are to busy to learn another demanding video game like trails. Honestly, trails challenges that connect to achievements or trophies, should have been fun for everyone to get. Those who need to prove themselves to whomever can do so off script.
Personally stopped playing because trails did not help me understand the basics! Injury to insult, trails physics always felt off to me. Concept how it should feel was understood, but the game is coded in wrong format. Maybe set in my ways and trails will always feel foreign. Committed 17 hours just to learn how to wheelie or bunny hop with 0 success. That is all I could deal with. Understand now, only 0.1% of all PS4 players can beat this game.
