"Key components of games are goals, rules, challenge, and interaction"

Challenges are optional. Why shouldn't they be extra difficult?

I dont know what I missed then, you are complaining the game has a part that is too hard. I disagree. If game completion is so important to you go play the lego games or sometyhing. Leave games like Trials to the big kids...

Totally. This isn't a 5 year old soccer club. There are no prizes for participation.

Well said Jook, just keep practising with all the bikes. Not everyone is a pro at the game. Challenges are meant to be challenging and the game brings that more so than many other games out there.

I did it on the 360, took me around 15 minutes, then when I did it on PC it took me less than 10, but I am a vet and these kind of moves don't pose any real problem for me but that's my point: the progression of challenges is not linear, this is one of those that should be one of the last challenges to try IMO. This is harder than many challenges on extreme tracks, but it is not the hardest or most annoying IMO.

You haven't completed the game until you have platinum medal on every trials, FMX, and skill games event.

Have you considered it's all those drugs you are taking? When I was a stoner like you I'd always notice my mind wasn't as sharp. Sure it all feels more intense but bud ultimately suppresses the mind in some ways. It's good that it can make you look at things from a different perspective, but there is a loss of reliable performance, in my experience anyway. One of the primary reasons I quit.

I take it you haven't tried Top Roach or Be One With The Bike?!

I have platinum on every track except Inferno IV which I have 5 faults on. 116/120 challenges. Other than the above two challenges I have Shoddy Workmanship and Pipe Phobia left. I can see myself getting all bar Top Roach but that won't stop me trying for it.

I would suggest you put Pipe Phobia out of your mind for now. Focus on the remaining challenges and tracks and come back to it at a later date.

There is no shame in admitting something is too difficult then resolving to improve and try again.

Seven and a half hours in one session? Take a break. I used to find I'd session a track for hours and not hit my target. Take a break and come back renewed I'd nail it first time.

    Edit:
As if to prove my point I went back to Shoddy Workmanship just now and did it second try after 30 frustrating minutes on it yesterday. I also got Inferno IV down to 4 faults.

Perseverence and regular breaks are all that are needed (along with some latent ability).
