While playing Fusion I sometimes get a dialogue popping up asking me if I want to change the desktop theme as it cannot handle Aero and the game. So I went looking for a solution and came across this:

setting the option "Disable Desktop Composition" does in fact work. It auto switched in to Windows Basic and when I quit the game AND Uplay it auto switched back to Aero. The nice thing is my second monitor no longer goes blank.

So you just need to set the option for this file;

Steam\SteamApps\common\Trials Fusion\datapack\trials_fusion.exe

No idea where the file is for Uplay only clients, But I'm sure someone will let us know..
