Massive spam on Track Central (75+ copies)

I had respect for him on Evo. While I don't remember the track names, I do remember that some were my favorites. The very few that he has released on Fusion are also pretty fun so I don't know why he's behaving so childishly now. A few tracks to make a point are one thing but this.. is totally uncalled for.

I remember watching the RedLynx live feed where they talked about the editor; there was a question about updating the game after release. It was said that the game is built like modules, in that it can be updated or easily added to in the future. All the previews featured tricks and even an interview at a games expo. The tricks are easy to do, and easier not to as they rely on a stick that's never been part of Trials in the past (as far as I'm aware). You can also disable them in the editor. There are 16 different tricks and performing them while spinning counts as a new trick, so there is plenty of stunt room if you can't perform some of them.

If you buy any game day-1, I believe that you forfeit the right to complain because you didn't read into it first. Servers get clogged, bugs are found, it happens to every game no matter the decade. Diablo & Simcity wouldn't connect, and GTA was deleting entire accounts. Ever tried playing an older game but couldn't locate the 3.20 update? Any decade.

Finally, In Microsoft's own network, every downloadable item; game, theme, or avatar goodie, says the same things. Right before finalizing the purchase, it tells you "There are no refunds for this item". It is my belief that anything you buy can be loaded in offline mode, or copied to the computer or modded unit, so Microsoft gives you that warning. As with User Agreements though, we just click 'Accept Terms' because we want to play. Did you know that the iTunes EULA mentions terrorism?

I am thoroughly enjoying Fusion thus far; yes, I have hit the 'tire-stuck-in-the-geometry' bug on occasion but then I simply think of it as "do your best anyhow". If I encounter this while making a track, I'll add collision boxes until it's unnoticeable.

The behavior we've all seen on the forums is.. really out there I think. Quite unnecessary if you think about it but I think that's part of the problem; a lot of these posters don't think. I was so excited to get Fusion but I waited a week to see what the consensus was. It looked good for the price so I chose to take that chance. Yeah, it's pretty much a stand-alone expansion, but for $20 bucks it's a pretty fine expansion .

Now to the one spamming TC as I said, was a favorite on Evo so I don't know what happened. Expansions in Evo pretty much stayed in that gritty, dirty, browns & grays theme so is it just a comfort-zone issue? Is $20 mega-moolah? Or are you simply sad that you have to exit 1 game to load a track in another? Name a mainstream game where the producers released a new copy and their fans didn't buy it? I haven't seen this kind of behavior for any other game I play, not even the Farcry Instincts series.

While there are a few tracks that are good (I even beat one with the Panda, it was very challenging!) most of his stuff is immature and should be removed. As for what to do with his account.. I believe that everyone should get a second chance, especially when a game just comes out. As with Youtube for example, we often react out of impulse (I do late at night) and maybe he just needs to take a break & see what happens next. It's apparent that he's trying to communicate his grief to RedLynx, and I've seen the devs respond to the (civilized) forum posts, so maybe he just doesn't know the responses are here?

However, that recent bit where he brags about being paid to spam.. and uh.. 75 copies?

Anyways, what is out now is good enough for me, and the Single Player of Farcry 3 is totally addictive so I have faith that stuff will still happen.

I would like to have seen another option on your poll: track upload limit for all...1 track per 24 hours or something like that.

What did he do? Put text in his tracks for commercial purposes? lol. I can't see anyone paying for spamming a track +75 times...It is +75 times the same track right?

maybe redlynx doesn't want to limit the numbers of uploads, but this spam should be moderated in some way because its ruining tc
redlynx ofcourse doesn't have the time or the resources to moderate each track so we should just be able to report these

starting with removal of the spam+warning followed by ban/uploadlimit if he didn't learn his lesson

You can be sure that we will investigate this matter. Spamming the feeds in this way (over 90 tracks) that hold no track content is going to result in tracks being pruned. It blocks the views on tracks that have real effort put into them. I do not condone the limiting of uploads 99.9% of the time, as who is to say what a good track is? But this type of malicious and intentional spamming to block views for others goes against the nature of Track Central.

Very happy this didn't go un-noticed,

    Extreme Conditions demand Extreme Responses...

And that spam session was nothing less than extreme
