Hello!
I am enjoying Trials Fusion just like everyone else, but encountered a few bugs.
I have attempted to fill out Ubisoft Ask a Question Forms multiple times, but serves were down each time.
So I have come to the forums in attempt to help out RedLynx in fixing Trials Fusion.
Note that I am playing on an Xbox One, so some bugs may not persist across platforms.
Large Favorites (Original Post)
Rabbit Bike Chain Sound (Edit #2)Bug: Attempting to view large groups/glue groups that are saved in Favorites will crash the game.
Recreation:
1. Group/Glue 40+ objects
2. Save the group to Favorites using the object's properties tab
3. Attempt to view the group in Favorites
4. Game freezes forcing a quit from the Xbox home menu
Problems: Favorites can only be deleted in Trials by viewing them. Favorites can be easily fixed by modified by Program Files on the Xbox 360 and PC, but due to the Xbox One's limited capacity to manage game files I can not delete the corrupted group outside Trials Fusion. This means I can never open up that Favorites tab again and all my uncorrupted groups in that tab are now lost.
Suggestion: Allow a way to delete/move saved Favorites without having to view them, such as a Manage Favorites option in the menu.
Undo Button (Edit #2)Bug: In the Editor, the Rabbit's "selection" noise will be played infinitely when selected.
Recreation:
1. Create a new track
2. Place a driving line
3. In options, turn "MUSIC" to 0
4. Select Rabbit from "CHOOSE BIKE"
5. The Rabbit's signature bike chain sound will now be played infinitely, until the track is tested.
Problems: No problems except that the sound is static as well. This bug is only present when first selecting the Rabbit, so testing the track will cancel the sound.
Area Trigger Gravity (Edit #2)Bug: The Undo Button will reset all layers options, and can crash the game
Recreation (Resetting):
1. Create three layers
2. Lock/Invisible two of them
3. Add a few objects to the third layer
4. Undo one of those placed objects, and all of the layer options will be reset
Recreation (Crashing):
1. Create a new track and place a driving line
2. Turn the default "Driving Line" layer invisible, locked, physics activated, and saved off (circles should be: empty, full, full, empty)
3. Press Undo and the editor will freeze, deleting your track, and forcing a quit from the Xbox Home Menu
4. Reopening Trials Fusion will reopen inside the Editor surprisingly
Problem (Resetting): No problems, except a mild annoyance if attempting to keep certain layers locked or invisible
Problem (Crashing): Although difficult to achieve, it does freeze the game, and will delete your track unless it is saved. Bug can also be recreated later on in the Editing process by setting the "Driving Line" layer to the above options, placing a few objects, and then pressing Undo.
Cloud Shadow Direction(Edit #3)Bug: Area Triggers with gravity off and physics on will only register hits for up to two seconds (120 ticks)
Recreation:
1. Create a new track and place a driving line
2. Place an Area Trigger inside the range of your bike's physic's bubble, and have it touching at least one object (such as the starting light). Also place down a Set Value Event and Variable Data Source anywhere.
3. In the Area Trigger's options, do the only following... (turn on means to check that options bubble)
> turn on "Physics"4. In the Set Value Event's options do the only following...
> under the "Advanced Physics" tab, turn on "Disable World Gravity"; set the "Object Gravity" to 0 if it is not already 0
> turn off "Disable After Hit"
> under the "Advanced Events" tab, send the "On Active" impulse to the Set Value Event
> change the "Type" to "Increase"5. Test the track
> change the "Value" to 1.00
> send the "Event Target" to the Variable Data Source
6. Turn on the "SHOW EDITOR ICONS" option in the testing options, the Toolcards should be visible
7. Restart the track, keeping the bike near the Area Trigger, and watch the Variable Data Source. It should only reach the number 121 or near that number. This represents the number of ticks the Area Trigger registered hits.
Problem: Any Area Trigger that has "World Gravity Disabled" with "Object Gravity" set to 0 will only register hits for two seconds (120 ticks) before becoming useless. This bug does not exist if the "Object Gravity" is set to a non-zero number (-28, -6, 1, 356). Difficult to achieve, it does pose a problem to advanced Skill Game makers.
I hope my reports can help make Trials Fusion the best it can be.Bug: The cloud shadows travels in the opposite direction as the clouds in a map.
Recreation:
1. Create a new track and place a driving line
2. In the track's Environment settings, change the following...
> Sun Intensity to 1003. Exit the Environment settings and note the direction of the clouds themselves and the cloud shadows; they move in opposite directions
> Sun Angle to 90
> Wind Magnitude to 100
> Cloud Alpha to 100
> Cloud Brightness to 100
> Cloud Shadow Alpha to 100
Problems: No problems unless a track requires the use of cloud shadows. The effect is hard to notice unless the above settings are followed.
Thank for your time,

Edit #1: Mod removed Email and Gamertag; I forgot and left them in the bug list
Edit #2: Added Rabbit, Undo, and Area Trigger bugs, and updated opening paragraph
Edit #3: Added Cloud Shadow Direction bug
Thanks for the quick response you guys! I hope it can help you in improving the game.
I forgot about my email and gamertag. I had left them in there form the Ubisoft FormThanks for removing them.
I just added three more bugs to the list, with exact instructions on reproducing them. The last one is so very obscure that I doubt it effects anyone, but I stuck in there because it still exists. It has been around since Evolution.
I'll continue to look for ways to reproduce more bugs I've encountered. There are a lot of situations where my cursor is disappearing but I'm having trouble pinpointing how or why it's disappearing. I'll update the list as necessary.
Hope it all helps!

i am also crashing to dashboard when accessing favorites. something i have saved must have corrupted. the difference for me is nothing in there is 40+ items. but if i scroll on to the tab it will freeze then dashboard and then i of course lose my saved progress. i agree there should be a way to manage them differently or flag that it didn't save properly as my only option at the moment is to delete the save data all together losing all progress. i have deleted the game, re downloaded/installed but it didn't fix the issue. whats making it worse is my controller already drifts to the left so as soon as i bring up menus unless im quick at countering the drift it will take me to favorites on its own. i have a new controller on order but is this likely to be fixed or should i just bite the bullet and delete my saved data and start all over???
d2 dahaka showed me a picture of this today . pretty bad . on 360 it just flashes through the ground as your building . but on xbone its something else .really badOriginally Posted by XxGATORMANIAxX Go to original post
howdy, i just came across the same issue with the area trigger and hit trigger too, it times out if the objects are static, on 1st hit it will shoot 60 impulses, for on active its 120 then it fires a on leave!! also the inactive times out after a few dozen ticks, i found if you move one of the objects by oscillating it left/right with OPE (just a fraction) it keeps the trigger pumping the ticks out. I do believe this was intentional to help with performance, still its not so good for some skill games.
i was going to report this but you haveso no need, i will add to the improved/suggestions or wish list for an option to disable the time out.
Hey you found that bug too! I thought it was so rare that no one else would be effected by it. And I too have found that oscillating is now necessary to keep most area triggers on target, even if the object gravity is set to a nonzero numberOriginally Posted by dasraizer
To XxGATORMANIAxX and kidmpc I too have noticed the texture glitches on the map and some of them... ugh. It's hard to avoid them. I hope that the new Feature Pack fixes these issues though, as I noticed these texture pop-ins even in the campaign maps, so I don't think RedLynx has overlooked them.
Also, what do you guys think of that last bug I just added? I find it really funny that they go in complete opposite directions.
