TC Time based upload limit (Dumb Mistakes)

    EDIT:

There is a huge debate about whether to have a limit on how many tracks a person can post per day. My self included. It is devastating to the community and, in my opinion, needs to be brought to light. What do you prefer?

Also a Block Author feature has been suggested. It is worth looking into but SHOULD NOT TAKE THE PLACE of the possible upload limit feature.

PLEASE NOTE: FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW WHY THIS FEATURE HAS BEEN BROUGHT UP IS AS FOLLOWS: THERE ARE CERTAIN PEOPLE WHO SPAM TRACK CENTRAL WITH A HEFTY AMOUNT OF THE SAME TRACK, THEREFOR PUSHING ALL OTHER NEWLY RELEASED TRACKS OFF THE NEW TRACKS SECTION. THIS IS BAD FOR TRACK CENTRAL AND SHOULD BE FIXED IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.

PS: Yes I deleted my original post.

The sad thing is <name removed> releases tracks on Evo too (Those "fusion sucks" tracks), and each track is worthless garbage.

I feel sorry for all you track builders who have to deal with people like him on the current Trials game. It's a terrible system people take advantage of.

You could try reporting <name removed>'s behaviour to the XBoxLive report a player page. If enough people report it, XBL may revoke his upload privileges.
P.S. Please do not name misbehaving players on the forums, it's against the rules.

Many of the community have been asking for an upload limit in TC for aggggeeessss. I have once again asked for it in the TC suggestions thread: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...-HERE-for-Devs
1 track per 48 hours seems reasonable to many of us, or maybe 1 per day...the fact some people have uploaded the same track 20 times in a row should explain why we need this...

Apparently its not fair to impose a limit. I strongly disagree.
If I had 5 tracks ready to be released I would not have an issue uploading 1 per 24h.

normal players shouldnt be penalized but if it stops this garbage so be it . id sooner have to work round a small restriction than loose months of work in an instant to these goons .silly thing is there affecting what they can play if they really do want to play customs . kindergarden mentality

If you have no limits, you can do huge amount of spam tracks in just 5 minutes. I don't think we need a 24 hour cool down period (as it would affect legitimate builders). I think a single hour cool down would be enough, since that would radically reduce the spam a single misbehaving player could do. Not many pranksters are willing to wait for an whole hour just to be able to post the second copy of a spam track.

Thanks for your response Seb. ANY cooldown would be VERY welcome, honestly.
With only 1 hour it would still be possible to have your track(s) taking up most of the page (thinking about how often tracks are released), so personally I would like at least 12 hours, but it's great to see you are considering some measure to stop this nonsense.

I think I know who you're talking about here....
It's the reason I don't go to newest tracks because if he was busy spamming, that's pretty much all I see (except for a few other sucky tracks and the occasional decent track).
The highest rated of the week feed is broken (unless it's fixed now which i highly doubt) so basically all I can find in Track Central is garbage or tracks I already played.
The only reason I know that there are good tracks out there is because of this forum/morrillo's channel.
