Don't take the comments too harshly, but the bottom-line is..... You don't ASK if you have the best skill game, you are TOLD you have the best skill game. Feel free to post your creations...but be aware that to be the best there is (or at least, stand out from the crowd) there has to be more to it than pure hardness/skill... you also want it to be presented well, preferably be unique in some way, and above all be fun/entertaining. So.... Please don't say "another one coming soon"; it means you missed the point. Take your time and do it right, ask for honest critiques, and keep improving.
Refer to my post. I listed why. You get mobile phone half-assed clone games that are better than this...
If you were a child we'd be lenient, but you sound old enough from the videos to take some harsh criticism
The existence of these tracks is not what makes people mad, I'm sure, it's the baffling popularity of them and how they rule TC skill game category despite having little substance OR style.
Kids these days! *shakes cane*. I'm only 23 but the generations behind me make me feel like a raging old man. I was a lucky youth I guess. About the only dumb crap I remember that got popular without justification back then was Crazy Frog, and that used to irritate the hell out of me even then.
Anyway, basically strive to do better. Even if you must make bailout games, strive to do it better than all the other bailout builders, or less arrogantly, strive to to better than your last track. Always strive to improve in life, especially if it's what you enjoy doing. This bailout game it looks like you didn't even try.
Thanks for the criticism, i respect it. Trust me that track is my only track that I didn't put a lot of detail into. I just wanted to be the first person to post a track like this. Obviously it worked. Even though the detail isn't there, I still think people enjoy playing the track because it is fun yet simple.Originally Posted by apdenton1 Go to original post
Simple is not fun for me any more, played way too many games, and some of them made me very biased. Trials itself is the simplest game I have enjoyed in recent years, because it actually is a good formula, and the editor of course is a winner and allows much depth and replayability (if more people actually made good tracks). Create what you want, but I believe you can do better than a game that requires little player input at all, has little deco, and likely didn't take long to build at all. Start with Evo's tutorials and behold the power Trials' editor grants to the console gamer.Originally Posted by rgamingcrew Go to original post
I know how to use the editor, I don't understand why I get so much hate for making 1 simple track. I have made tracks on evo that have hit 50,000 downloads. This is one of my only tracks without a lot of detail. I'm starting to think that everyone is just jealous that their tracks haven't gotten as many downloads or something... Otherwise I don't know why all of you guys are hating on it.Originally Posted by apdenton1 Go to original post
