Title says it all.
The Trials Fusion community is already very fragmented over four separate platforms and requiring players to own DLC in order to play custom tracks that use DLC objects is only going to fragment it further.
I'm not sure whether it has been confirmed that this will be the case or not but I really, really hope that RedLynx and/or Ubisoft keep this in mind and make the choice that is the most beneficial to the community.
That is all. Just felt like getting that out there and there was no relevant thread I could voice my opinion in. Feel free to chime in with what you think.
I completely agree with you but that is not how marketing works. Redlynx, as a company with common sense, wants to grow and expand. I do not speak for redlynx, but im pretty sure that they will do everything possible to get money out of us (AS A COMPANY that doesnt mean they are mean) and tc is a big part of the game so I highly doubt they will accept this. IMO. But I agree with you completely.

Right? I mean, If I made a product, I'd want people to compensate me in order to have it. That's just business. The sprawled community is a sad thing, but that's life lol, sad things.Originally Posted by xitooner Go to original post

Exactly what I was going to say! It would be unfair that the builders had to buy the DLC and everyone else would get most of the DLC tracks for free. This would be a bad business model for both us and the community.Originally Posted by kidmpc Go to original post
I think most of the players here are more than happy about buying the DLCs for the cheap 5$ price, as our DLCs pack a lot of content. We have never heard anyone complaining the DLC pricing in Trials Evolution and Trials HD forums, and Fusion will keep the pricing intact (our DLCs are dirt cheap compared to other games). Why change something that works (and the fans also approve)?
The biggest thing a DLC brings to a Trials game is the additional objects. We have always included lots of new objects in every DLC (on all Trials games). New DLCs always have their own theme, and the objects (and the DLC world) are based on this theme. This allows the builders to create levels of completely new look and feel. Build-in levels are just a small part of the DLC experience. You might want to regard the build-in levels as (high quality) examples of how to use the new DLC objects properly.
In addition to the DLCs, we will be bringing many feature updates to the game for free. So even if you don't want to buy the 5$ DLCs, you will still get new game modes and improvements.
